Imagine how much coke and hookers that could buy!

    Might stretch to a HB160

Similar thing happened with my Orange 5, was very very specific about which bit’s needed protecting. Brake mounts, bottom bracket, headset, swingarm mounts.

    They didn’t do any!

Had the bb refaced, headset wasn’t a problem, brake faces are ok, had a nightmare with swingarm, very slowly dremeled surface.

All good now and finish is great, but big lessons to be learned, leave bolts in bits you want protecting, old bb etc.

Absolutely no use marking stuff as it’s probably going to be blasted off anyway.

    No.

    Get your prescription buy online.

Last set, was quoted £540 (need stupid thin lenses and designer frame).

    Online same set £200!

Once had British Gas come out to give me a quote for a new boiler (homecare had just been used and it was on it’s last legs).

After about 30 seconds looking at boiler and pipping, then watching him struggle with a portable printer for 15 minutes he finally slid over a quote.

Boiler was reasonable priced, fitting was about £2000! For a combi to combi swap!

I casually asked; “…So how long does the change over take? About a week?”

He very proudly said “Oh no we can have it you done in a day”…

“So you expect me to pay £2000 for one days work?”

He left rather swiftly after that.

Just two blue routes, can have a spin down to the fox house and loop a few cheeky bits in.

But nothing I could put together without doing more road than I wanted to.

Having lived there for 30+ years, I wouldn’t chose to visit the centre.

That said it’s surrounded by lovely places, something like Hathersage or Castleton, could be a good base for a fair few peaks rides.

If the wife isn’t into bikes/walks then I would suggest looking elsewhere as it’s either scenic and great for the peaks or a little run down with not much to do.

    If this had gone;

“Jesus that seems tight, where’s my torque wrench? That’s been over torqued it’s going back to the shop”

then I can see you having a case, as it is, you have no proof that it was actually over torqued, other than your word after having already rounded the bolt.

Recommended this for a woman at work recently, decent spec list for the money.

Five – Renthal Fat and Joystick Builder

I think it looks ok, but came with the bike (2nd hand), haven’t felt the need to change. That said the torx stem bolts were made of cheese! They got swapped for hex bolts.

    Rule of 15

Green (unroasted) coffee beans should be roasted within 15 months, or they go stale.
Roasted coffee beans should be ground within 15 days, or they go stale.
Ground coffee should be used within 15 minutes, or it goes stale.
Extracted coffee should be served within 15 seconds.

If you think your supermarket beans are roasted in the last 15 days you should probably lay off the coffee 🙂

Anywhere worth it’s salt will automatically tell you the roasted date (HasBean certainly do)

    Guests and animals….

The missus moved in a few months ago, and she used to keep a bearded dragon and tortoises in the front room! Wasn’t having that so they got relegated to the spare room.

    Other than that just storage.

Not that it isn’t possible to go sub 20lb, just that only about 10% of the people who say they have a 22lb bike on the internet actually have.

Love it, making up stats to support made up stats 🙂

Wife got me mine for xmas MJ808, light has lasted longer than marriage 🙂

Would buy another, batteries aren’t much to write home about, but combine it with a decent battery and you will be fine.

Just finished – 13 Reasons Why, good watch.

Just starting – Stranger things, seems ok but the missus isn’t a sci-fi fan so not sure that will last.

Red pedal pins! That’s some colour matching.

I vote you put make up on the child to make him appear to have black eyes, get some fake blood – pretend bloody nose.

    Cover fists in fake blood.

Send him into school shouting “AND YOU’LL GET MORE FIST IF YOU CARRY ON”.

Hopefully weed out who grassed you up 🙂

Love my 5, wouldn’t pay full whack on a new one, lottery wins aside.

They do seem to split opinion though.

Swapped them out last night, weirdly the bearings I took out feel smooth as silk in the hand! I suppose it’s hard to tell without load.

New bearings feel perfect no clicking and grinding when pedalling.

Took all the advice, very little amount of preload and greased all mating faces etc.

Will store bike upside down after a wash.

Surely once you tighten the pedal arm bolts you aren’t doing any preloading?

I wouldn’t have said I overloaded them, but tough to measure 0.7-1.5NM

I assume you mean the preload screw?

    Shimano recommend 35-50NM for the cups;

    Got the 14.7 norglide ones.

Little harder to source but figured if you don’t have to do it that often.

You don’t need a buy-to-let, it is possible to rent out your house using your existing mortgage but you need a consent-to-let letter.

My provider (Natwest) said it was easy to get and cost about £100.

Is it painted or powder coated?

Fairly sure orange will only powder coat it, and you can get it done for a lot cheaper than orange will do it for.

Could be worse, could get an interview, write a brilliant presentation for it, boss the interview, be told you would hear about it on Tuesday, chase it today to find out you didn’t get it…

    Powdercoat is the way forward.

Had my 5 done, £50 inc sandblasting.

That said I would be VERY specific about where you want coating and where you don’t, had to have BB refaced and chased. That said bike shop said it was best powdercoating he had seen 🙂

Stupidly difficult to name a bike without knowing what it’s going to be used for.

But I think the 4 is a good “do it” all shout 🙂
