Ring her. She'll know why you're ringing, ask her out for a drink.

That's what I did. We ended up getting married.

When we go to Salcombe, we leave at 4am. This means we go past Bristol about 6-ish. No traffic all the way, and arrive in time for breakfast.

Thanks Horatio. I thought something didn't seem right. Wanted to check before I handed over my cash. Don't want to run V brakes or a tensioner, so I think I'll leave it. :(

Cheers, this brake mount looks like it slides with the dropout to me…or am I mistaken?

F120's. Now running a 90mm stem rather than the 100mm one in the pic. Steering feels faster and I can't tell the difference in the stretch. 2.2 Rubber Queens too.

I had Ultremo's and got bulges. Moved to Conti Attack & Force combo. Very pleased with them. As mentioned above they don't seem to pick up cuts etc.. like the Ultremo's.

Tried the 'winged' GX grip and didn't like them. Changed to the GE 'technical' grip and felt much better. They were on the large size so I changed them (again) for the smaller ladies version – haven't looked back. No more tingly fingers and they feel secure when descending/singletrack etc…

5'9" here. went with a medium as i run a more xc setup and wanted plenty of room. ran a 90mm stem, tried a 100 for stretch, but going back to a 90mm as i couldn't tell much difference in stretch but the 90 felt better through singletrack etc…

My gut feeling is the cable's too tight, but if I slacken it, it won't shift up properly.

I remember him – used to post lots of pics of his new bike frames on his sofa, plus the 'guess what this is' picture posts.

I don't know what happened to him though.

Does the tyre go on easily i.e. without levers?

I had this, where it would tear the valve out of the tube every 15mins – folding tyre and I could put it on by hand easily. Bought new tyre (needed levers to put it on), problem solved.

Mine was the front, felt like I was running very low pressure and it was squirming around.

I did think about a carbon post when I was building mine, but went with the Thomson. I'm interested to know if it makes a difference.

    2010 Soul here

    Fox F120's
    Thomson/Easton finishing kit
    pro2 hubs on 717's
    XT drivetrain
    nevegal / bluegroove combo
    Formula Oro's

    Don't know the weight.

Use it for general xc, with marathons, sleepless etc… later in the year.

I've had all sorts of Landys from Series One's to 101's to Defenders to Coil sprung trials motors.

Last Defender I had was a TD5 110 CSW (after my previous 90 was stolen), which was good for bike duties. Much better than a 90.

Currently building an 80" Series 1 but with S3 running gear, 90 engine but will look like a '48 from the outside.
