Ti appeals because of its life span. It will need to last and I can keep on upgrading it over time. Plus I like the look of skinny tubes and I don’t think they’ll date like a carbon frame. I’m tempted by a carbon frame but I’m worried that I’ll want whatever’s the latest thing in a few years time.

Been a couple of times. I like it. Stayed in a Ramsey. Kids love it, and couldn’t get them out of the Blue Lagoon. Near to beaches etc… which is good as all the activities etc… can make it expensive. Had a takeaway from ‘the village’ which was okay but not great. Will stick to going to Narbeth for eating out.

I used to run one everyday and they’re great, but I fall into the enthusiast catagory. Even I found them hard going if you’re just driving to and from work in them. I now run a car for my commute and this at the weekend

My son uses an old iPhone without a SIM card as an iPod. No problems.

Yes I run tubes. After a summer of use, a wet ride means that inside the tyre gets wet because the sidewalls are thin/worn. So can’t imagine them sealing with gunk.

I’ve been running a pair of 2.4 race sport versions over the summer into winter. I really like them, much better IMHO than SB8’s which I was had on before. Roll well and grip in a surprising range of conditions. Gone back to rubber queens for the worst of winter. 2.4’s offer plenty of volume, but the sidewalls are very thin. Not ripped them yet. Probably would go with the protection version if buying again.

5′ 8″ here. I run a medium frame and 90mm stem. Spoke to Cotic and they said I was between frame sizes – I could go small for agility or medium for XC. I’m more of an XC’r and went for medium. Works a treat.

I use sufferfest ‘angles’ 2/3 times in the week over winter. Hard work but an hour goes quickly and easily, which means making myself do it is not a problem. I’ve ‘The Hunted’ too which I use occasionaly. I recommend them.

Anyone tried the 2.4 X-King? I saw that Chipps gave them a good review in the mag.

I bought my eldest a likeabike when he was about 2 years old. He was riding a cnoc 14 on his 3rd birthday without stabilisers. My youngest was the same. It did its job perfectly and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it.

Running 2.3 on my Soul, I’ve had a few moments with the front. Which has led to me losing confidence with them on the front and I’m now looking at alternatives

    Go see a physio.

I got back ache, and have recently suffered with some real pain that has kept me off the bike and made sleeping difficult. Went to see a sports physio yesterday who says the problem in my legs, and a have a good back. She gave me a set of stretches to do twice a day. The real test will be in maybe a couple of weeks, but it is nice to have a professional opinion and it only cost £35 at the National Sports Centre at Lilleshall.

Rolled a Fiat Panda into a field whilst young and stupid. Collected the stereo and cassettes off the back seat and drove home. Twisted the body shell and buggered the steering. It went to the scrap yard.

Put a Landy on its side in a competition and was a passenger in another that rolled during a comp safari. Started straight up again to finish the lap but the engine conked out soon after.

My first ‘proper’ xc race. Entered masters but got spat out the back early on, just tried to ride my own pace from then on. Last lap was lonely/painful. Didn’t finish last, but it was close! Sport cat next time I think!
