I have an X2. Toying with stumping up the money for one of Smudges batteries. Still get a good light and battery for under £80 which is round about what i was thinking when buying lights.

Ordered mine from the UK seller on Tuesday morning and arrived this morning. Posted first class recorded. Not tried it yet but it is very small.

Just finish and enjoyed ‘The world versus Alex Woods’ by Gavin Extence. Reminded me of Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night.

PG Woodhouse and Blandings at the moment.

I don’t get Minecraft either, it’s tedious to me too. My boys would spend hours on it (if I didn’t limit them) and hours watching youtube vids of people playing it. My eldest built a Pirate ship after watching a vid, it was impressive but I don’t know where he gets the patience to do it from. I wish he had the same patience with his home work.

Used them about 3 times. Excellent service. My default choice when looking at new tyres.

Series 1 I built for weekends / tatting about in.

I learned to drive in one and used it whilst in 6th form and college. I missed it and had to have another, so decided to build one to my spec.

Looks like a ’48 as much as possible but has wide springs and S3 axles, S3 steering and brakes. 2.5 petrol with S2a gearbox and overdrive.

On a 2a the slave cylinder is mounted vertically on a bracket which bolts to the back of the bell housing. The slave cylinder pushes a rod which goes through the side of the bell housing. Best bet is to remove the floor and gearbox tunnel. It should be a case of removing the hose from the top of the cylinder, remover the split pin and unscrew the clevis pin. Unbolt the slave cylinder from the bracket and remove. In theory

This is from memory. My S1 doesn’t have a slave cylinder, but the actuation rod that goes through the bell housing is the same.

Sorry Rob. Going to sell the shifters last. Would like to try and hang on to them for a possible CX build.

I had this with an iPhone I sold. I rang three and paid the £15.00, as it was still under my name with them.

I’ve heated windscreens for my Series One Landy. The club had them made to order from a company in Spain.

About 64mpg average according to the on-board computer (A roads). £30 a year tax. 90bhp so not too slow either.

Its a TR model too. Aircon, lots of airbags. MP3 player.

I have a 57 plate D4D for commuting. Economical. Cheap to tax. Cheap to insure. Reliable. Standing up to general abuse and kids well. Does everything you need a small car to do. Digital dash is horrible. Can’t say I love it though.

I had a 110 station wagon. I used to take the wheels off then put the bike in facing forwards and leaning on the wheel arch / folded up seats. Wheels then leaning against the bike.

I’d go for a towbar mounted rack. Just allow for the spare wheel on the back door.

I’ve seen loads of kids at CX races clipped in. I guess the advantages are the same as for the rest of us. I will look at women’s shoes too.

I was quoted £500 for a detachable Westfalia one for my Passat estate, including electrics for the rear parking sensors and new black trim under the bumper that has a built-in flap. I think that was £80 on its own.
