The E150 isnt a great fork IMO, I swapped mine out for a Van36 and the bike is now lovely, I rode my mates 575 and it felt very similar

http://bikescene.co.uk are a good source for frame only/+fork deals

I know many of these trails and the illegal builders, they wont read this as they don't bother with forums

    But keep ranting :thumb:

It was designed around a 36, if its too much for you, you have the wrong bike

Dango – admittedely the seat post is a w£$k but other than that surely the Zinn looks like the silouette of most XC/Train bikes currently available?

What 300mm long stems and a 26 in the front and a 29 in the rear

If you want to do stuff like that in the second picture, any bike would do, even an explosive Pitch

Weird, for me DUC32's were the worst forks I've ever had/used

Pikes are great and very versatile and 36's rock if you can afford them

I did manage to dent the frame during that w/e on an airborne rock on another trail, but wheels held up fine

Recently stuck some VanRC2's on my Enduro, major improvement to the standard forks (E150)

The pikes that come with the Pitch have basic internals, either would be good, but the Fox's better, had Lyriks before and they were OK

The sketchy/church one has not much of a run in and has been dragged by loads of riders and doesnt have a lip now, theres a great one on Leith (near caspers)

I have a late SX and bought it as a do it all bike, I bought the large and its cockpit is a little small and isnt great for climbing (probably OK if riding in a group with similar bikes though), even with Ti spring (not pictured) and tubeless its around 35lb

I ended up buying another bike for trail duties

If I buy locally (within ten miles) I go to Freeborn in Horsham, good guys, plenty in stock, and helpful, have spent about £2.5K there in the last year, other local shops wont budge from RRP or are really grumpy, it’s their choice I guess
