Facebook marketplace or singletrack/pinkbike classifieds and don’t buy and sell so much stuff might be the answer 😜

I have (had) an MT500 suit (not cheap) which tore on its first ride after a slow tumble, my fault. It’s been a couple of months away for a repair and I can’t get anyone to reply to emails or pick up the phone now.

What an expensive mistake, thought I was buying the best but haven’t really got to find out 😞

Wish I had bought something cheaper/disposable right now but liked the repair/eco ethics they claim to have.

Sounds like the pentland thing might have broken their customer service…

I’m off to Nava in Italy in a few weeks and have had some recent rear tears in the UK on DHR Exo and I’m looking at either Butcher BLCK DMND 2Bliss in 2.6 or a maybe a DD compound Maxxis.

Has anyone experience on the Butcher BLCK DMND on super rocky terrain?

I gave up on that brand a few years ago after a few issues and now only buy Exposure

She’s still listed at the other company, address is two doors up the road https://beta.companieshouse.gov.uk/officers/OakCrfJHYTgk8aEZyDiSqFWnx3U/appointments

I used to have a carbon frame and bought one, it never took a big strike there but didnt really have a lot of confindence in the product as it looked like a lot of resin with some carbon within to look ‘carbon‘. it was translucent in places and I imagine would have been quite easily damaged, but no evidence to support this.

My latest alloy frame doesnt have a guard available, so like a previous poster, I made my own, but out of thermoplastic.

Aluminium does not corrode, it oxidises and therefore will just look sh1tty unless stripped properly and then coated or anodized.

    Cheap, but rubbish head angle

Some of the smaller brands use the same hangers.

I have a Radon Swoop, a cube hanger (identical) is cheaper from CRC than a Radon packaged item from Germany, same for their pivots

I have an original Bkool trainer and have done FEC upgrade. I tried ZWIFT and would agree with the comment above that their software has the edge what with the ability to ride actual roads that have been uploaded, rather than a cartoon (on a laptop)

It’s nearly doubled in price but I still consider it good value.

Like iPhones from a few years ago to now. 🙂

Some people just love chucking money away when there are similar and better value options available

    Loving mine

Make sure you take out all the bolts, threadlock and torque correctly as they are built by chimps, other than that bloody awesome bikes for the money

I have an 2016 #8 and two of my mates have 2017 builds

If you bought the post with a credit card and the payment was over £100, just let the CC company know and they will freeze the payment and credit if Mojo dont play ball. If PayPal or debit, well it might have a differnet outcome

Lets say I were to buy a swoop, is the 9.0 worth the extra over the 8.0?…

If you get a Swoop, get the 8, the 9 has wheels that fall appart (myself and two mate all bought one, 8 fine, 9 see above)

I went from an S-works carbon enduro to a Swoop, thought it might be too much and too heavy for trail riding

Best bike Ive ever owned, great angles confidence enspiring etc.

A few riders have commented on how my riding has improoved too

I set my laptop up in the garage on a 7 day free test, tried it once an uninstalled the software. Just didnt get it, thought it was a bit, well, sh1t.

I’d rather have trainerroad on my android phone and watch TV/Netflix etc on our old flatscreen TV, glancing to the phone occassionaly when intervals were changing.

I’d also rather go out on a muddy MTB ride than do either

This was in one of their messages:

RADON-BIKES is a part of H&S Bike-Discount GmbH, you can order our bikes via our online-shop http://www.bike-discount.de

Oh and a heads up, the bolts and hangers they use are the same as Cube and can be bought faster and cheaper from CRC, have done this recently

Both radon and bike-discount are recommending I go for the 18 yet the unanimous opinion here is that large is the way to go.

    .

Same company, think Nukeproof and CRC

    Go large

And strip and rebuild with threadlock were needed espec all the linkage bolts. Mine and the two bought by my mates all fell apart, good value but built by chimps.

    Great ride though 🙂

The name in the web address bar is pretty similar to a prolific digger in the area – how ironic

Must have been editted out of the thread title

Its probably not the flat pedals, that plop doesnt kick that nice, I bet the feature (mound) before it you can just float over at speed.

I’ve had a foot blown off before, same place and done a oli wilkins style toe drag into the bushes. But to be fair I had just done 25 miles of that stuff and was blowing out of my a4se

I couldnt buy one for my Radon Swoop, so made my own out of 2mm KYDEX & 3M double sided tape. £6 an A4 sheet, 1/2 needed

Could have made the edges prettier, but just cut with snips, heated it and rode off into the sunset

Cheers, thats not my bike though thankfully, its from from the RWC site advertising the needle bearing solution that I’m not going to bother with after all 🙂
