Cheers robbo once again. My ftp has gone up to 274 now so you can alter my handicap accordingly.

There’s already 27,000 people on there. I’ll try and get on in good time to save any disaster’s.

In my experience it’s beneficial yes, I also have good success with using a foam roller to get my legs back to feeling something like.

The Bluetooth between my MacBook and my hrm and wahoo kickr works perfectly with no drop outs. I run an ant+ dongle sometimes when I do trainerroad workouts alongside zwift and find that less reliable.

“wasn’t a massive climb but it worked so well for this event @robbo1234biking. Looking at the results, the groups on the road all split up towards the finish, and even merged a little (I think @kirky72 caught @cbott, trolo very nearly chased down @dandasbike and so on).”

I could see trolo reeling me in on the climb but just completely emptied myself for the last 500m and did just about enough, this got me a new hr pb of 183 🥴

@scaredypants yes thats me, I thought it would say fordo197 but seemingly not. In all honesty I was riding above my station with you boys and was promptly dropped on the final climb. My race was the exact opposite last week and I suffered from it. Enjoyed it though and I personally thought the start was fine.

@whirld1@hotmail.co.uk that’s mint to hear and pretty inspiring, keep at it and before you know it you won’t be last. Be nice when you can ride with a group, sure makes things a little easier.

Don’t whether to use my trek emonda or canyon aeroad…. Sounds like it’ll won or lost on the climbs in this race. What are people’s thoughts re bike choice for this course?

mine barely made it beyond 2 months. im a bit of a wahoo fanboi but they’re hrm’s in my experience are shite. got a cateye one now and all is well

Frustrating race for me too, got my best 1 min power and 5 min power but wasted way to much energy on the front and trying to make a break for it a couple of times. Normally I can stick with the fast boys for the first ten k’s but with the climbs that didn’t work. Onwards and upwards

Kickr’s have all sold out again, I have two friends trying to get their hands on one, one spoke to rutland cycle’s who said they’re having a delivery next week so put a deposit down. Things are gonna go mad turbo wise with the gyms shutting I guess.

i direct drive trainer should just about be in your budget, i spent just a little more on my kickr core and its worth every penny. id say defo go for it, the races on zwift are really good fun and the fitness gains are an added bonus.

i can thoroughly recommend a kickr core too, i have my tcr on mine so can’t comment on how it works with a mtb. got 2000km’s on mine now and im pleased with it. zwift is mint, really social, a great work out and weirdly addictive.

watched it three weeks ago and deleted my Facebook account minutes later, this has been positive step for me. i still enjoy instagram as that’s just happy pictures of friends and cool shit pro moto/mtb riders are getting up, facebook can be toxic.

i deleted my ten year old facebook account 3 weeks ago after watching the social network documentary on netflix, id been considering it for a while and that was just the nudge i needed. was strange initially but i defo won’t be going back. i find my phone too useful to do away with but sometimes it crosses my mind.

zeb for me, cheaper by quite a margin and far less likely to creak than the 38’s. mezzer sound interesting but poor back up rules them out for me.

I’m a zwift newbie too and can wholeheartedly recommend it, good fun and gives great work outs. Plus one for the wahoo kickr core, very pleased with mine but admittably not cheap.
