I have one, owned it for a year or so. I love mine, had a stage 4 once and didn’t get on with that. Geo and shock eye2eye makes it infinitely better imo. I have mine at 140/130 as I have removed 5mm of spacers, had no issues and the ha at 64.5′ Is bang on. Taking mine to Madeira next week and I have no doubt it’ll be spot on

Cheers for the tips. It works adequately now I have adjusted the torque on the seat collar, fox recommend 5.1nm, I’m at 4.5 now and the rough feeling has gone. Happy with that, thanks

I have torqued the seat clamp to 6nm but will check the cable, it does work it’s just really rough and takes a lot to push it down. I know I slated reverbs in my initial post but my axs reverb has been on two bike over the last 14 months and still feels fantastic.

The fact it was bought from probike kit just before they went bump for £200 is making me think they got some old stock. Hopefully silverfish will get it working properly

Just for balance I have a 22 giant reign e+1 with 2700 miles on it. It’s been the most reliable bike I’ve owned in 25 years, bloody love the thing and it’s never missed a beat.

Not strictly speaking the peaks but the goyt valley and up by the cat rode great this afternoon. Clean bike and dry feet 👍

Another shout for an orange stage evo, love mine. Had a ripmo previously and didn’t like anything about. Mine weighs 14.4kg with pikes, cane creek and proper tyres and inserts. Most fun bike I’ve had for years and really easy to live with

My first ebike so can’t compare really, although I spent a week on a heckler in Italy that had a Shimano motor. Both felt very similar tbh. What I can say is I’ve done 1850 miles on my giant reign e1 in the last 5 months and its never missed a beat. Also is impressive is I can do 50k and 2k of vert if I ride in eco. Great motors imo

I personally don’t like them for mtb, always found on steep trails they restrict your ability to look down. I use one for motocross and don’t notice it then. For reference mine was an Atlas

Hope hubs and dt swiss rims, will genuinely last for many years. Job done

Yup the stock giant ally wheels are super heavy. The pr2’s weighed 2.1kg which is 300g heavier than the ally wheels on my ibis ripmo, can’t comprehend that at all.

I picked up my 2021 tcr with mechanical ultegra before the price increase, lucky to find one and at £2295 decent value too. I put some 50mm wheels on it and it’s genuinely rapid on the flat. 7.8kg with disc brakes is pretty acceptable too

I have a tcr too, got it in July and I find it really comfy. I had a tarmac before which had rim brakes, really liked that too as it was comfy and fun. Value wise though the giant tcr really takes some beating.

What @plastercaster said, far easier than creating a thread on a forum in fact

@chapaking I find my friends zwift race results posted on strava far more interesting than a 50k road ride for example where they spent 25% of the time freewheeling, in the race I know the suffering they’ve endured. Zwift is just a tool I use to stay fit to utilize my time on my mtb, had a great ride outside with my friends on Sunday morning actually.

Love people getting salty about zwift, think it bothers them people are staying fit over winter while they’re getting fat.

Ripmo af deore build is crazy value. I’ve got the carbon v2 and it’s hard to beat as an all round mtb

They used to make they’re pedals here, BETD did actually. Macclesfield is just a warehouse where they ship from. Not saying it’s not good stuff just that it’s all imported and then sold at a premium due to really good branding and heavy use of influencers. The golden rule is if it’s made in the uk it’ll be plastered all over the packaging.

Can’t compare burgtec to hope, burgtec are just another sticker brand that make nothing in the uk. As far as I’m aware the only thing hope don’t make are their rims.

Quite enjoyed that tonight now the dust has settled, managed to get with a quickish group then cling on for dear life.

Now apologies if it’s been explained elsewhere and I’ve missed it, so repack ridge, where is it and what do we need to do? Thanks in advance, fordo197.

I’m booked on to do the 12.31 crit city race this Saturday @oopnorth, like yourself I’ve not done that course so 8 laps will defo be beneficial.

@oblongbob it’s been a perfect storm for me of a month off the bike due to illness and the subsequent lack of form that brings, also the hilly nature of the first few races really doesn’t suit me for some reason, looks better from now on though. Not an excuse but I hate riding the mtb’s, itching to get back on my canyon aeoroad with zip 808’s 🤣

That was really tough, annoyingly I just can’t make the numbers I did back in November before I got sick. Spent all race just on the verge of blowing up with average HR of 171 (I’m 41) defo lost 20 watts somewhere along the line. Onwards and upwards and once again robbo thanks for all your hard work and making this happen.

+1 for a zeb, I don’t own one but a riding buddy rates his, if it’s a big lyrik then it’s a massive win for me. Tf have got a bit of discount on the ultimate currently too. Fox 38 sounds great too but much more expensive and gaining a reputation for being really creaky too.

I’d stick with hope hubs, the vast majority of my riding crew have used predominantly hope hubs for over 10 years (black) and they are bombproof and go From frame to frame, worth every penny over Chinese hubs. Honourable mention for dt swiss 350’s, once again bullet proof. Good thing with hope is if it’s shits itself when your in morzine in the summer for example you’ll have no problem getting fixed up.

Yes I’ll have a go again please robbo. Been Ill but I’m back on it again now.

Can’t get on with spesh tyres, ok at best. The hillbilly should be great but feels awful in Rocks imo, shorty is a great tyre although not completely trustworthy in rocks.
