My wife’s mate actually told us we were being cruel to our child by not offering him a Sibling to play with which I found rather odd.

I took my Step Dad to the RIAT a few years ago. He was 82 and saw the war first hand.

When the flypast happened, he was totally absorbed. “They saved us, ” he said with tears in his eyes. I had known this great man for 30 years and here he was stood before me with an expression I didn’t recognise. He never talked about the war and the things he had experienced but clearly these old planes meant a lot to him.

how odd… baby puke is a piece of cake anyway. proper projectile Toddler puke all over the bed at 3.00AM when you have had a few beers is worse. Then to have it again 30 mins later is a double pain.

I cooked on a Gas BBQ last night. Surely the most pointless of all.

I suggested to Mrs Dancake that I cook using our grill 20 paces away in the kitchen and transfer the food outside. “No” was the answer.

So I got the BBQ out, scraped/ burned the 12 Month old fat/ filth off it, cooked on it (badly), ate it, put it all away.

What worries me is you are saying the BB binds up? This shouldnt happen. Check your tech manual for the torque setting and the assembly plans. (if it is 50nm that is F tight, btw )

I would also check your BB width. iirc you need spacers if it is a 68 but you must remove spacers if it is a 73. If you are running a 73 with spacers, you will damaging the bearings when you do the bolt up

Edit. I am talking from old truvative experience, so take my advice with a pinch of salt 🙂

I never got on with The Truvative set I had myself. (although it might be a diff set up to yours)

I had the opposite problem. Despite the correct torque and greasing the spline, I always had a bit of play in the crank. Unlike Hollowtech (where you set the preload), the adjustment is ‘set’ where you bollock the thing up and it should be set correctly due to close tolerances.

have you put a wanted in the classifieds for a bolt>?

Obvious question but are you using a torque wrench for the bolt? It should be 50nm or something (the outer ring is much less)

If you are getting the bb bind up at the correct torque, you have a problem! You cant just set it looser and expect it to stay in the right place I don’t think

edit. Do you have the correct bb width, spacers etc? Is your spacer tube present between the two BB cups?
