From Stonehouse you can ride up to Haresfield beacon (Standish woods) – there are a few trails there. You will appear at the “quarry” if you are coming from Stonehouse and there is some obvious stuff there. From Haresfield, it is a short hop to Cranham/ Painswick. (head towards ca park and then past the new house build. Turn into the woods on the left before the main road and do that trail – its great)

I had a hell of a time finding a S/H Damper – I thought there would be millions of ’em –

I ended up machining a damper extension to get a longer a2c with the same travel (using some 29er stanchions – long story)

A bit harsh when the commisaires have discretion on their side.

Not so sure myself. VP clearly a lot faster than Varnish. When you are dealing with 100ths of seconds it cant be fair to allow any discression that could give an advantage?

    She looked bloody fast though

So will that turn VP into a gibbering wreck or spur her on to make good later on?

edit looked like Varnish backed off a bit early too

If we are in the final we are going to be wary of the changeover now and might loose vital time…

Only last week a lorry overtook me just before a roundabout, as he passed me the road curved to the left and his trailer wheels hit the kerb about 10 feet in front of me. I had to slow down. RATHER THAN HIM WAITING AN EXTRA F^&*ING SECOND BEHIND ME.

Carbon copy of what happened to me, except the lorry went round me on the roundabout Had to jump onto the kerb when coming off the roundabout to avoid being wiped out by the trailer.

My Wife and Son have been away for the weekend and I can’t believe I missed out on the opportunity to have a whole pie served from a pan. Well done, Sir

I am going to have loads of faggots, however. (Wife cannot abide them)

I am probably still paying for the curry I had in 1997 that went on the Mastercard.

Technically bankrupt now. Credit is addictive. It isn’t for everyone

Take your time finding a used car – there are good ones. One of my better purchases was a Passat which has done 150000 miles now and despite a blip for suspension arms for the MOT keeps going without drama . We have one car in the family and I am lucky enough to be able to ride to work…

I went through a period of buying RROD x boxes and trying to fix them.

Oven bake worked best for me and worked well if prepped properly. There were a few failures too, mind. One of those was an E73 which refused to heal. Killed it with a heat gun in the end…

My bottom half is all tight buns and thighs. (Probably the effort needed to hold up the top half)

The kind of man that goes around completely ruining other peoples mint bikes isn’t the kind of man to have a girlfriend.

Quite the opposite: He is living with a stunner and is slapping your wheel with his enormous todger

Dogs are a huge bind. Even simple days out have to be planned for if the dog is not permitted to come. Take last week’s Christening, for example. Christening at 12.00 followed by party afterwards. You have to get home for the dogs at some point so you dont drink at the party and slope off in the car to take the dogs out for a good run.

Fancy a day trip with the kids somewhere that doesnt permit dogs? Get them in the kennels or persuade a relative to walk them for you. Maybe you are visiting relatives and you want to stay overnight?

Dogs are a huge pain in the arse and I never wanted one…but…

We got one in the end..then another. I honestly can’t imagine the house without them in now. loves ’em

I wont have another cat though. They bugger off out the cat flap and you never know if they will make it back. We recently had one put down after he had struggled home after being run over 🙁

edit. My Springer has just laid a paw on me to remind me the Saturday woods are calling.

My Wife surprised me with one with Cycleactive.

Instructor was very good and enthusiastic and I got a lot from it.

I would love to do it again – I would do a solo though or a small groups with guys I know at a similar level; our group was quite mixed ability so the stuff we did was a bit more on the basics side.

Probably with Jedi – he seems to get good write-ups 🙂

I have had 1 gxp BB . It lasted about as long as yours. Merlin were doing Deore HT2 cranksets with BBs for 50 quid at the time so I bought one of those instead.
