Anyone got one of the Magic Link Jobs?

The Cadabra XC at CRC looks bloody cheap at 1350 quid if you like a 16″

Don’t let the best man drink pints of wine at the evening do. Thats exactly what I did last night and I ended up upsetting people and sleeping on the Sofa when I got home.

last week I wanted to see how much I was really leaning the bike and what my body position was like. Was feeling good so went in a bit faster on the crash.

The most damage was done trapping my Thigh between the top tube and the bars. Still have a big black bruise now. Looks really tame but it is faster and tighter than it looks – honest 🙂

Little dancake had his Balance bike at 2 .He had short legs and a Strider Prebike was perfect for him . I can’t recommend an balance bike enough

For his 3rd Birthday, I bought a Cheapo pedal bike – the smallest I could find. I left the stabilisers on initially but that was a mistake as it was a backwards step and my boy was all over the place with them. I took them off after a couple of days and little ‘un took to the bike with gusto after that. Not many 3 year olds ride around without stabilisers and it wouldnt have happened without the balance bike training. The only trouble is the cheapo bike weighs a TON which was hard work

He is on his 2nd Pedal bike now. It is lighter than the first one and has bigger wheels. The big wheels make all the difference to his confidence BTW..29er anyone.

Little dude starts school in a couple of weeks. Its cool he can ride there!

Thanks for all the tips. Short is good – I can deffo do that.

My Wife wrote some stuff down to inspire me (it’s her brother) and generally it was downright insulting. What’s written here makes a lot more sense. Short and sweet -uplifting. Don’t mention the ….

I can look at a tiny drop/ jump and after weeks have a go at it.

If I see a near identical feature in another location, I absolutely wont ride it without lots more pontification.

Much more sedate today..It must be one of you lot 😆

Is this a case of I can’t so I don’t want you to either?

no its a case of I don’t want me and my 4 year old boy to get run over outside our house. This is a QUIET no thru road – it shouldnt have bikes going past at 50+ mph!

What about getting a C50 and turning it into a cafe racer?

I used to have a C50 gave it away in the end. You struggle to get one cheap now. I want one!

I am in the “Sundays are no different from any other day ” camp. Does it happen every weekend anyway? If it is just one day then you may need to chill out a bit.

I used to have a Triumph Spitfire with dodgy locks so I never locked it.

Got my Stereo nicked one night. It was more annoying when they came back the next night and nicked the speakers 👿

There was a road even going on in the Stroud valleys yesterday, and I must admit I did wonder what it must be like to be a part of it.

Truth is, I havn’t got enough time to ride my MTB let alone throw a road bike into the mix so that’s that.

    Oh and I am Skint

For the sake of clarity, I would describe the wheelie as popping the front end up giving it a handful rather than going all the way down the street on one wheel, cannon ball run stylee.

This isn’t an anti bike rant BTW. I would love this one – a big loud single somethingorother.

A “slow down” gesture is my mode of attack. If I can make eye contact, he will know he has been clocked

Only one thing for it. Liberally smear the [strike]road[/strike] Motocyclist in [strike]goose[/strike]man fat.

This might work, but again the timing might be a problem

Will wash the car between 8 an 9 tomorrow and start with a bit of arm waving

Releasing the piano is going to be easier than getting the camera woken up and recording in time.

I was also considering holding up a sign that says “Bloody slow down” which is a bit more personal than dobbing him in. I would be mortified by that

Enjoy Winston – he looks ace and will be a great dog. I have nothing against Staffies and Staffie derived dogs – they can be wonderful pets

It will be good to see this kind of Dog given a good home. Sadly, a lot don’t. The last time I went to the Animal shelter to use their boarding facilities, their re-homing ad board was all Staffies (apart from one sorry-looking terrier)

Staffies are being bred everywhere at the Moment and buying the puppies is making the problem worse

This one drives me to distraction. Because Mrs RBIT appears to have no interests beyond work/Miss RBIT (up to and including not going out with her friends) I have no bargaining position when there’s stuff I want to do.

    Amen to that.

What about people who stand up in planes as soon as the seatbelt sign is off?

    eh?

they are not flying the plane.

firstly, apologies for the tone of my original post.

Its the psychology of it all that irritates me. If someone is so rushed, tense and wound up that they cannot bear to apply the brake (and then often anticipate the lights changing and move off early) then how do they go about their normal driving duties?

The only time my dogs howl is when the scrapmen play that horn through their speakers.. 🙂

That aside, they were bloody useful the other day when I wanted an old radiator gone – saved me the hassle of taking the car apart and making a trip to the metal bin in the local recycling centre
