I have no idea who’s this is but it popped up in google when I was looking for crud catchers. I really really like it…

Everyone looks cool on a Vespa

Just yesterday, I saw a couple in their Sixties pull up to the lights in one. As they pulled off again, the back wheel collapsed 😯

no one was hurt but thank god it didnt happen at speed

I liked my GS 125. It was reliable for me and , being a banger, I sold it for as much as I bought it for.

    edit cgs are cool 😯

Grease supplied was not enough in my experience.

Bought two pairs new at the same time. one pair was nice, the other clicked and graunched right from the off.

after rebuilds, the graunchy one was always graunchy and the smooth one always smooth. easy to do though

I like mine, but they are a little heavy

The velcro flap works ok to keep the crap out of the laces but you have to brush it out now and again to keep it sticking

When you look down at your own feet, they look Mahoosive (I and I cant usually see my feet these days)

Twice the fun, twice the bills (just spent £211 on biopsies on the both of them. )

Every six months or so we have a bit of silliness where they need to sort out the hierarchy between themseves (food guarding etc) but apart from that no problems

    No harder than having one

My mate was having a “Casual encounter” with an older woman . At some point during the proceedings, she answered the phone to Nick Cotton off Eastenders.

There is a bike in our bike sheds at work that has brilliant guard fashioned out of a coke bottle cut down the middle and cable tied to the saddle rails.

I might go with that. Had a new crud catcher last year. It fell off leaving the bracket 🙁

There should be a child-free zone in my house.

Big shed down the bottom of the Garden should do it.

You should be able to swap spacers round in a 55R to get 140mm (not sure about the RV ) I hated my 456 above 140mm. My last steel HT was a Genesis Altitude with 130mm forks which felt ace

this is to go 140 to 160 I think but you get the idea

I keep flicking back and forth.

My last fs only lasted a couple of Months before I got bored (to be fair it was cracked when I got it so it was just an experiment)

Bid on a Commencal Combi frame last night and won it for 26 quid. I have had mostly Steel HTs. wonder if I will notice the difference 🙂

I sometimes take the bike to the woods with my dogs but it is mostly
more of a Ramble on foot. I can take in the Scenery and the pups can safely dart off after something that looks/smells interesting.
I can’t imagine taking them to a TC. Doesn’t sound like fun to me.

I love Stella. I will have 4 cans every other night. Unless it is a Friday, Saturday, where 4 becomes 6 becomes 8 (and Sunday if I am late in Monday) I even found a local shop that does the old 5.0% 500ml cans

This constant topping up means that you are always up for a mad one when the opportunity presents itself. I was at a wedding a few weeks ago and, as usual, got roasted and ended up making a **** out of myself in front of my Wife’s family.

That was 3 weeks ago and I havn’t had a drink since. For the last 20 years I have never been a day or two away from my last can . I am skint and was spending all my free Money on beer. Now I can buy the odd bike bit and be happy .

I have a “Bike Fund” tin. On the days where I would have had a beer, I am sticking a few quid in the tin. That works for me 🙂

right now I consider myself as someone who “doesn’t drink” I dont want to go down the ‘only on a Saturday’ route as I am pretty sure that will get me back where I was.

FWIW all of the advertised TA jobs ask for NVQs, preferably at level 3. Competition for jobs is very hot and not many, if any are on a long term contract. Funding is applied for every 6 months for the SEN child so job security is “flexible”.

Indeed. She did the NNEB before NVQs took over so that is recognised still . Experience-wise, she was a Deputy in a Sure start Nursery before Leaving to have a Child. It was long days, full time back then and Good Money (council – not private) but She carried a lot of stress home. I don’t want to go back to that. More recently, the small Charity run Playgroup has been where she has been most happy all be it with pennies compared to what she was on before

I will definitely suggest some voluntary work. My son started School yesterday; once the staggered intake is all done and dusted Mrs Dancake might finally have some free time. (Dancake JNR did the same hours as her at the same playgroup, then came home (with her ) 😯

The air shaft (at least on the older ones) had 3 holes for 80mm, 100mm and 130mm. newer ones could be 90, 120,130 so check your spacing

If your air shaft is older, and retaining pin is in the middle hole, you are set for 100mm. Some info in this thread

Dont stick it in the 130mm hole thinking you will get more travel if you dont have the right damper. They are sized and a 100mm damper will pull itself apart if the air shaft is set at 130mm!

the 80mm hole is the bottom on. the 130mm hole is the top one .(this chap has pulled the pin out or redrilled to get a really small amount of travel

nb I was fine with “Air spring” fox themselves refer to an “air spring service” and this the “Air shaft” 🙂

My wife and I are in Debt up to the eyeballs. It started about 17 years ago and multiplied until about 2 years ago where we owed about 50 grand on top of our Mortgage. We joke that we are still paying for that Curry we had in 1997… No nice car, no new bike. Just memories of those things 🙂 Completely self-inflicted of course but what’s done is done

Went into an IVA two years ago and every penny is accounted for – As well as agreements with the creditors, we have a car fund, a dog fund, a “contingency” fund etc etc . . My wife IS my best friend and we are doing this together…

We build up the pennies and save. With whats left over I amuse myself buying second hand tat to fix and my wife has the occasional night out. Been using plastic to buy stuff for so long, it feels good to buy with your own Money, however small…

I get another chance in 3 years to conduct my affairs properly. Maybe then I will have something to pass on to my Son.

    I have a Springer and a Cocker

Both fantastic dogs and a lot of fun. I have never had problems with chewing or destruction and we put that down to the dogs getting proper stimulation . They are never left alone for too long and get out a lot

good luck with your choice. Sorry for the loss of your other dog

I bought an X-fusion Shock in their sale. 64 quid and it arrived the next day.

The shock was an older model to the one pictured and I received a £20 voucher when I complained. With the 20 quid I bought some spokes and sealant. When the order still showed processing on the second day, I emailed and they sorted it out too. *Don’t just wait and wait – keep an eye on your order and email if the stuff hasnt been sent the next day.

CRC have always been great in my experience. I just wish I had 1250 quid to buy one of their half-price bikes

edit. Collect plus has been a revelation to me for sending stuff. I have 3 locations all 5 minutes away!

Have you got that HDMI input set to “AUTO” ? My TV has stuff like “wide” , “native” , “auto” etc. IIRC I had to use something like “Actual” or something meaning the same thing

EDIT. A media hub is much neater than a laptop and you can transfer all your stuff over with wired or wireless. I got one of these last year new for about 79 quid. There is nothing it wont play. I have ripped all our DVDs to iso format so we have access to them all. Menus and stuff all works and it even gets info off the net about the films

edit edit. I should really read all the previous posts before posting 😳

The only reason I have Triple right now is because all the sprockets are good. As soon as my 32T wears out, Ill chuck a 36 on and loose the big ring – I have done this on my previous bikes.

For me, a shorter , more secure chain and being able to use all 9 gears when in granny far outweighs the benefit of being able to go a tiny bit faster on fireroads.
