A lot of non-smokers are offended by someone fagging near you. Smokers know this; I did when I was a smoker so I took my puffing away from families, food etc etc.

Seems to me to be a bit arrogant to be happy to cause offence just because its a "free country" and all that.

If you sit next to a nice family, would you fart, spit on the floor, get your nob out, pick your nose, do any number of offensive things just because you can?

The most intolerant hyprocritical bunch of people i have EVER come across are the born again non smoker

lol you are so right though 🙂

My dog keeps getting in the paddling pool . He then runs into the kitchen and slides along the floor.

I have a hangover and have to work later. If I didnt drink last night i could have stolen 6.00AM to 8.00AM for a cheeky ride. Never mind. My litle dude is tottering around on his balance bike and life is sweet

    Am I having fun?

not always. When you are cocking up your way down a mini downhill, munching brake pads and bottoming out the forks while kissing the stem, you wonder whether it is all worthwhile.

I always try and finish on something simple and go [strike]mega fast[/strike] well to reset the sh*t counter

I can maybe do little jumps..maybe a few feet…but I have to do the same one over and over and over again until I know it wont kill me.

Now, put that same jump on a different part of the trail and I ABSOLUTELY wont go anywhere near it because it isnt familiar.

My flow gets destroyed time and time again because of this affliction.

same with little drops. I have one locally I like to fly off. took me ages to pluck up the courage but i did it Put it somewhere else though and I brake so hard, the world stops spinning.

Oh and I ofen have sore wrists from braking and my pads dont last 5 minutes (tight twisty downhills; hate em but should love them…)

I recently stripped my Meta to change frames and was shocked by its condition after that in 6 months light winter use. (1 trail centre plus a handful of local rides)

Headset, BB both goosed, cable rub agogo, (and cracks of course)

Unless you strip your bike after every ride, all sh bikes will be this IMO.

Being a Dad is ACE! Been laughing with my 2 year old all morning and its out on the balance bike later. (After "fixing it" first of course while I tinker with mine )

Happy days. Congratulations and welcome to the world, baby!

Truvative bumph says to grease the spline and try again 47-55 NM or something; maybe they assume a bit of grease will aid the crank going onto the spline further. (sounds like a load of arse to me)

Said this before, but just rebuilt my Meta and instead of spending 25 quid on a BB, bought a New Deore chainset (Hollowtech 2) for £49 which is a bit more common and there are aftermarket bits for it. You might be able to sell your New BB on?

deore chainset with bb included http://www.merlincycles.co.uk/mountain-bike-chainsets/shimano-deore-590-chainset.html

Should be under warranty if it is a 2009?

Send Madison pics of the Complete build (if you are in UK), plus a pic of the Serial Number (and the cracks) and they will raise a claim with commencal.

Got my replacement 2010 frame in 2 weeks (although mine was gone in the shock mount welds; not there!!! You may just get a swingarm. Check for those telltale signs in the welds.

the crank bolt is retained in the crank and drives against the outer cap to pull the crank off. If the bolt is unscrewed, it must have pulled the crank off? Does not compute.

Are the threads stripped in your crank shaft (so it is just going round and round ?)

nb My GXP (worn) bb + firex set is for sale if you want it.

Put it back in, and make sure the outer one is done up (it might have come unscrewed? ) Outer one goes to only about 10NM if I recall. You will need a big allen key though.

I recently removed mine, Ill post a pic of what the arm looks like

But the smaller hex drives against the bigger one and pulls the crank off? Is the big one missing>?

As for the legend, it seems ace too and maybe the pick of your bunch? Anything android will be a good bet if you like your apps and gizmos.

Co-pilot live ifor android is rumoured to be the best Sat-nav for mobiles for example. Looks like symbian is being dropped by the big manufacturers too

remove shock, Let all the air out and see if the shock tries to suck itself closed. I had a new RP2 with some unwanted neg air (bled thru piston seals from air chamber )which meant i needed loads of pressure to balance it.

long shot i know. I stripped shock, cleaned and lubed, and its been ok since!

Cranham is ace, BTW. there are loads of trails around. Ones I know are

    The Wall (ACE)

Think so. Choices are the GXP one for 20 quid ish (there was one on ebay mind), a bloody expensive ceramic one, a hope + shims or the Enduro

way I thought it out was I can get an SLX double + bash + BB for £89. May even get a few quid back for my Truvative double/ bash setup. I cant afford 89 quid really but dont want to throw 20 quid away on a BB made of cheese either.

I have a bit of time..my Meta is under a Warranty claim (cracks) For the record, Madison have been Fantastic to deal with.

I have just stripped mine, too. (Truvative Stylo on a Meta 55) Mine has only done 30-40 hrs and it had loads of play in it before I took it off and it was grumbling like hell.

If you read the MBR customer reviews they are not good. lots of experiences like this banded about. Personally I am getting a Shim crankset to replace it all with.

if you just want the cups, they are on CRC but may not last very long.

I have a Posh full Susser and a 456 that cost 300 quid to build. I might be a bit faster on the FS but not 1000 quid faster! I ride the 456 more, too (to work, out with the dogs..up the beacon from work)

So why did I buy it?

I bought it 'cos I thought it was pretty

Get some SS ones in there..what about zz? and Moulded oil as I suggested. How about giving them the LP hose test? What about grit?. How do the seals fair in the real world.? What does 4 bearings in honey jars tell us? How about manufacturer's data sheets…a high percentage of premature bearing failures are down to incorrect fitting..etc etc
