here is on of those DX jobs. Very nice but not much spread,

I have stuck a “flood” lense in my old P7 unit which gives some nice illumination near the bike…

I ditched the mount and managed to wrap the o ring around part of the helmet on my giro (ie camera fixed directly to helmet)

Sink a few cans then build it.

Use a massive hammer for the headset
Make sure you cross-thread the BB

When did we start having to finish the frame production ourselves before we could build a frame up?

I like to do an extra bit of welding too, just to be sure

Someone in the know fancy explaining why the light above is so much cheaper than this one?
    http://www.dealextreme.com/p/mj-808e-ha-iii-cree-xm-lt60-3-mode-1000-lumen-led-bike-light-set-4×18650-57100

the pic may be wrong as one of the reviews mentioned a battery level indicator. (Mate has the fancy voltage indicator on his and never seen him use it). Makes the battery pack bigger too

200 lumen light here . I liked that you can use AA batteries if you get caught short and has an anti-dazzle for oncoming cars.

    http://www.dealextreme.com/p/xc-997a-3w-3-mode-1200-lumen-white-led-bike-light-4-x-aa-82138

Time will tell if it is worth 20 quid. My route is generally street lit, but occasionally you need a bit of light so might be ok

Just ordered a T6 – see how it goes.

Also got one of the little 200 lumen clip on jobbies for commuting

Its at a far less jaunty angle now! Blacking at the joint but no real pain unless I stand on tip toe so I think I got away with it maybe (popped out/ popped back in? )

Felt very odd indeed to begin with. Think Ill stick it to the next one for now!

    Maybe we’re all bored…

Or maybe we need a contributor to post nothing but happy threads… like, ‘favourite flowers, please’. No way we can get in a scrap over that. BTW, anyone who replies ‘primrose’ is a ****

    🙂

Deviant; you aren’t special mate. everyone has a story or knows someone with a story like yours pretty much.

That fact is this person knew the dangers and didn’t care. Self harm is self harm, no matter what form it takes. enormous amounts of fatty foods, Prescription drugs , cutting, burning, drink, (drugs)…exhaust pipe in the car, etc etc etc. The reasons for it are profound and we in STW are in no position at all to know or comment on the reasons for it.

I don’t bother with trade-it now because of this.

The Spam goes along the lines of “We will pay you £2000 and you pay the shipping company the difference”

(for an item that costs about 25p )

I had one BANG! when it was off the bike laid on it’s side in the Sun. (Had been riding for 2 weeks on it to work with no issues)

Admit I had the pressure up far too high. Bead was ruined

scared me half to death too – I was fiddling with the frame right next to it at the time

    Neil the Springer?

My Springer is Currently snoring with his head on my lap. As soon as I reach for the poo bags, he will transform into a jumping, barking, tail-wagging picture of excitement. Will be chasing the bike today so double the fun

    Springers are ace.

    Its Brilliant!

Mega grins on the last section.

edit. Must learn how to handle 4 successive rollers at speed – nearly had a heart attack on the last section. Pumped the first one and got successively worse until i almost did the last one with my chest on the bars 🙂

Been with my wife 17 years in all. Discovered bikes 3.5 years ago.

Wife still finds it odd that I may want to disappear for a few hours now and then when before I was always around. I do most if not all my riding during the week.

I feel guilty until the first pedal stroke. After that, worry, debt, stress and all that disappear until I get back home

My 160s on my 456 stop much better than the 203s on my Meta

…I was playing with oil levels on the meta and spilt fork oil all over the pads

Really have done well with the classifieds here. Had some nice stuff. Love the Manitou r seven I got from here!

failed miserably on ebay with some forks. Fox F100s “just come back form a shop service” translated as “Top bush destroyed, stantions ruined, forks full of an odd grey substance which runs down the legs when you ride”

all form a guy with good feedback. i was quite green back then

The Rat that crawled into my oven and electricuted itself under the hotplate.

The rat that must have been warmed over and over again every time we cooked.

Imagine my surprise when I took the oven apart to find what the smell was and found that . Bloody cats – at least finish the job

Used to run a Larsen, but found it would spin up too easily trying to get up anything damp

Had a Scandal for a bit and it was ace. I preferred it Rigid and SS. it was light and felt really fast and didnt hurt too much.

Spoilt it with gears and Suss forks and got itchy feet for something else in the end

Ended up with a Commencal Meta 69er out of bits. A2C was a bit wrong but it sort of worked. great for rolling over stuff and not as sluggish as you would think

I introduced my Springer Puppy to my 2 year old Cocker.

There was a good telling off within a few minutes and the Springer hid behind the chair, whimpering pitifully.

Bit heartbreaking, but they soon sorted themselves out and everything was fine.

Springers are ace by the way. keep ’em stimulated and there is no problem at all

soon they are doing this 🙂
