hmm Quite nice but maybe just a bit too pricey at the moment.

I like having my films in a library (I have spent hours transferring DVDs and CDs to my Media Hub ) but wanted to avoid having too many Boxes on the shelf. I was hoping there was a combined media hub/ recorder available but not sure now…

I have run a PC media centre before years ago with media portal which was a bit flakey so I binned it. I have heard people are running linux media centres these days which are quite reliable. hmmm

    Tough. It’s a school, not a glorified baby-sitter

Quite right. We just leave my four-year-old home alone with a giant bag of crisps and some lego so my wife can go to work

Actually, no – she stayed at home unpaid.

Got virgin for the lot. Getting up towards 70 quid now which is just stupid for what we use.

When contract runs out, keeping the broadband and going the freeview route for TV. Probably wont keep a landline.

Chose virgin because wired Broadband was terrible in my area. Infinity is here now though so might move to that

I used to have a road legal quad which slid around all over the place in the wet. (never got a chance to try in the snow. Wish I still had it)

I was a member of a quad bike forum and you NEVER EVER admitted to any shenannigans unless you wanted a dressing down by the big hitters 8O

it was all about giving quads a bad name apparently.

Tea for me. My mate calls it supper, even if served at 17:00. This makes me cringe a bit.

I have always been distrustful of long delivery times until recently when I was the culprit!

I sold a stem on here sent it off within a couple of days via myhermes. I got an email from Hermes after 3 weeks saying they failed to deliver (my mistake on the address).

After getting the right address, the item was delivered ok. The recipent was patient and very cool about it!

My wife has never recovered from having a child and sleeps at every given opportunity so I sit here staring into space while my Son climbs the walls. Can’t do anything because I spent all our money on bikes I dont want to ride.

Multiskilled Technician in a food factory. (Mechanical/ Elec maintainance) as well as keeping lines running, we are involved with focused improvements to improve efficiency etc etc.

My Mum applied for an apprenticeship on my behalf (I wasn’t in a hurry to get a job) I did well at the interview and got in!

That was 20 years ago and I am still with the same company.

Laser-sintered nylon doesn’t seem particularly brittle from the samples I’ve tried. The stainless stuff isn’t porous at all, it has a slightly rough finish like a casting.

Brittle from a “Drop it from waist height” kind of deal. I *may* have knocked the connector of a RP nozzle this way. ( I would have got away with it if it was 316 :) )

Reagrding porosity, I am not up-to-date with current tech . Earlier on, there was concern that at higher fluid pressures , there might be problems with integrity. You want a smooth surface too, otherwise you can trap bugs. Exciting stuff though

We have been using RP in the food industry for fillers with internal routing that would be tricky and time-consuming to fabricate with conventional methods.

The polymer can be bit brittle though and for items that are manhandled for changeovers this can be a problem. Metallic prototyping will be cool but not sure how porus it is at the moment?

Since getting my fingers burnt with a pair of Foxes, I now I buy cheap forks that are honestly declared knackered for the same reason as above.

    – I have had some great fixer-uppers this way

Its a real pain for you but I am not sure you have any comeback.

After 5 years the mind-numbing routine and boredom is enough to drive you to drugs. My wife has never been the same.

..but the good bits are far better than you ever imagined they could be.

    Good luck :)

I don’t really ride my bike any more and will probably move onto other things this year.

The chat forum, though, has always been an entertaining backdrop to a mug of coffee and a biscuit. It would be a shame if the banter is modded out permanently one day.

My lad is certain a fat bloke in an ill-fitting red suit squeezed down our chimney and filled his stocking full of pressies, stopping only to drink half a can of wallop followed by a pork pie. Rudolf only had half his carrot. He has an explanation for this, too but I was half-cut for most of Xmas so I can’t remember.

What? But Derek Acora and Yvette Fielding, man. Its in black and white in a low-budget cable TV show so it must be true. Better start reading the Bible. Hope it isnt too late.

Struggling to get the enthusiasm back for riding. Nowt since 8th December….

same as that. Apart from the short work commute I only had a few off-road rides in the whole of last year.

I keep reading this forum though so I am hoping the mojo will return…
