cynic is right. The short answer is no. bike companies have only started to try to sell 29ers because there isnt any new radical tech like disc brakes or full sus to be able to hype it up. you can only redesign the suspension so many times to make it better before its then not that noticeable when they improve it

Yep halfway up the main climb for Dead water Fell in kielder. Nothing like having cold northern wind whistling around your bollocks. Having no proper bog roll on me meant I had to improvise with my first aid kit bandaging. Didnt fancy using the antiseptic wipe in case it stung a little.

Thetford is very much fitness orientated. Its all about flow the faster you go the more technical the trails become trying to get all the corners linked up. Just pedal harder if you become bored.

yep doesn’t attract so much crap. I have been using Finish lines wax teflon lube. Seems to hang around a bit longer than normal dry lube whilst still keeping the drive train fairly clean. Need to apply it a few times though

Didn’t someone get their Ferrari/ Lambo/ Porsche crushed as a punishment for speeding as they were so rich, a fine was nothing to them and the judge ruled destroying their car was the only suitable punishment?

I think this was a guy going down to Le Mans got caught doing something north of 200km/h. In the end he saved his Car but was it and out of court an awful lot I think but got the full €1000 fine

Pretty good video. You never get shown how tightly packaged f1 cars really are. Its always focused on aerodynamics and tyres

you don’t want quickest rebound. Rebound damping is supposed to remove the Oscillations of the spring but not so much it works too much. Slower rebound you would set up say in the winter when going slower ie you hit the bumps slower so want more time on the shock re-extension so it doesnt buck you off so to speak also giving more traction. Also more rebound if you weight more because the spring has more energy so needs more damping
This is however your preference there is no right or wrong way to set it up. What you find best will not be right for someone else.

have a read though this it explains alot of it

    what car?
    How many miles?

Dont rule out fuel pump just because it runs fine when running.

I remember hearing that they degrade 10% over 30 years so they have a very long life span

Someone on twitter had the idea which included the previous episode with the drug that made people see what they wanted to see so he could have been dosed up with that when the bike hit him.
But not a bad ending to enter into the next series

Quite a few minor crashes but nothing serious yet in the spring I managed to catapult myself over the bars and land on my neck/back.
Was sprinting out of a corner chasing after a mate and as I put a power stroke in I hit a stump which sent me flying missing a tree narrowly. bike landed on top of me. That gave me a nice head ache for a bit

Look 920. Sram xx group set all round. Enve wheels.
I would want it to compliment my current 986. And because the above bike would probably be nuts. Mostly likely under 20lbs and stupidly fast.

wet the bike down to get rid of the big bits of mud. Spray with pedros green fizz bike wash. Leave a min or so use big brush to agitate all of the mud. Rinse down.
Use park tool chain cleaner with water first to get rid of the worst bits. Then use a diluted de-greaser in the chain cleaner. Spin round for a few mins. Spray off all cleaner with hose. Then use chain cleaner with water again. Repeat until chain is clean.
Use diluted degreaser again with tooth brush on cassette/chain rings removing all traces of crap. Spray with water to get rid of it all.
Dry whole bike down with towels. Use disc brake cleaner on brakes to clean them. Apply lube a couple of times to chain when chain is completely dry

Good race this weekend. I managed 37th 4 laps 2hr 10 mins. So abit more training and I should do better. My back was ruined on lap 3ish. Had a crappy first lap couldn’t clip in properly off the start then un clipped. Got cut up on the first climb meaning I stalled which left me in too big a gear.

Look 986 21lbs in current spec. Very very fast and bloody stiff. My back was knackered after my first ride on it on Sunday doing 33 miles. Not sure if I’m going to race it this weekend as its meant to be a wet race as heavy rain is forcasted for the next couple of days. But fingers crossed its not that much rain.

I have a set of northwave typhoon sbs and they are uber comfortable and super stiff. My feet are fairly wide and they fit sooo much better than my shimano m182. Highly recommended. I’m certainly going to get a par of northwaves for my next mtb shoe.
Also I know they are big bucks but if you have weird feet have you thought about shimano’s custom fit shoes?

Ahh I had this aswell on my old crossrides especially when back pedaling or free wheeling like you say . I think its the freewheel itself because when I replaced that it seemed to stop for a while

    Dan67

Try northwave. My typhoon sbs’s are much more comfortable than my shimano’s for fit. They are proper stiff because of its carbon sole. Also looks pimp in white

I’m using my tracks on my HTC sensation and if anything its very accurate but for proper accurate tracks you would be better of with a stand alone TLS device

that would be pretty sweet to have rider level footage especially in big sprints where you dont really get to see what arging a barging goes on. Also the big crashes that you usually miss on the footage you would get too see making for a better spectacle

I was just about to say the endurance racers tyre are low profile and last a long time. peugeot at last years le mans were doing 12 laps in a stint before they needed re fuelling. The tyres were doing 4 stints before they needed changing. Bearing in mind a lap is about 8 miles long they were doing 386 miles on a set of tyre so well over a race distance in f1 which is roughly 200 miles.
So there is no problem with a low profile lasting the distance or being engineered like the pirelli to fall off of a cliff. there probably would be less marbles though as there is less carcass of the tyre to shed

    Dan67

re-fuelling was banned to promote over taking on the track instead of overtaking during the pitstops.
As for tyre size I haven’t a clue why mainly due to regs and that they have plenty of experience in the aerodynamics so they feel no need to change. iirc Michelin wont become a tyre manufacture because the tyre size isn’t a low profile so doesn’t fit their marketing strategy.
And yes there is now a drs zone in/after the tunnel in Monaco. so there may be a few crashes I reckon as it sounds mental to have it there

RIP. I feel really sad about his death even though I never met him.I haven’t even bothered to watch the video I dont want to. Such a shame he apparently leaves a pregnant wife behind.
I hope the peloton does a ride in honour of him tomorrow.
