Sorry, I should probably make this clear…

I have pretty much resigned myself to not getting my order (and therefore not getting out riding over the 4 day weekend) due to the snow.

However, my order is/was stuck in the "processing" stage, rather than actually being with a delivery company and delayed accordingly.

I was told the delay in "processing" was that there were issues with the delivery agents, and now someone else has said that actually orders are leaving on time.

I don't mind delays but I do mind being being told two different things which are opposite of each other.

Indeed, I'd assume that if I was told by someone that couriers were having difficulty collecting stuff, my order would be delayed.

However, Michael@CRC says that parcels are leaving on time. Now if parcels are leaving on time, I would think that there wouldn't be a delay.

I hope you see now that the two different stories don't actually match up…..

If parcels are leaving on time, please can you tell me why Sarah said that my order had been delayed because of "delivery agents are finding it difficult to collect orders for delivery."

She also said "It is unlikely that your order will be dispatched today due to the heavy snow."

    Cheers for that…

Ordered at 12:27 yesterday. I'm now not very impressed.

After emailing them, I've had a response saying "delivery agents are finding it difficult to collect orders for delivery."

Looks like I won't be getting my new toys before the weekend 😥

    Thats great, thanks for that.

Fingers crossed I get paid as normal tommorow, and don't have any problems!

Assuming we're just talking about the rotor here (i.e. not swapping callipers &/or levers), I've got a a 160 rotor that I'd swap for 185. Can send photos tonight if anyone's interested.

I had something similar, but with a life threatening heart condition that took a year to get fully treated. When I had the first operation in May of last year, they were within the 18 week time limit. This operation failed, I was told (rightly or wrongly) that because they'd tried a treatment within their 18 week guideline, the clock got reset at the date of the consultation after the failed operation. It took them until the end of August (about 16 further weeks) to get me in for a 2nd operation.

It sounds like they've reset the clock after the injections you had.

I can sympathise with your situation, and I remember how frustrated I was with the whole system at the time. Good luck with it all.

Could someone can tell me why new wheels will make such a noticeable difference to my bike?

Currently have some own brand specialized wheels…

I have tried SPDS, only on a flat bit of bridleway. I limped away.

Firstly I really struggled to clip my left foot in and crashed into a tree, and secondly when I did get going I forgot to unclip when I stopped.

Don't really think they're for me!

    * I'm not saying you've not got any btw!

I don't actually have any, so I've booked myself onto the stop crashing course, 7th May, very excited

    I'd probably die with spds!
I get the fear badly already, and that's with being able to tactically dismount at the first sign of steepness! Being attached the bike may cause serious injury!

I've no idea about the hubs. They're listed on the specialized website as being "Specialized Hi Lo, forged alloy, double sealed, ground race, 28h"

Slightly different but I had a schwable jimmy "stretch" so that every time the inner tube was inflated past 10psi the tyre popped off the rim.

    Very unimpressed.

Have you changed products that end up in contact with your skin at all?

Whenever I go home to my Dads in wales my Eczema flairs up, and it's down to the water! When I moved in with my girlfriend, my eczema flared up again because she used fabric conditioner in the laundry. Also certain shower gels, shampoos and soaps start up my eczema so I stick to one brand that I no doesn't cause a reaction.

If you're not happy with the idea of taking anti-depressants via the Dr, I'd also steer clear of stuff like St Johns wort. It does work for some people but clinical trials are all over the place, and the stuff you get from your local health food shop probably isn't going to be as pure as you'd want it to be.

Stick with the excercise ideas. What helped me was when I was having a positive day, I sat down and make a list of the stuff I used to enjoy and stuck it to the fridge. When I wasn't feeling so low I'd look at the list and choose something to do. The list wasn't specific and was mostly "bike","go to the zoo","take photos","cinema" type stuff. I found that if I had a list to choose from, I didn't have to motivate myself to come up with something to do, and could use that motiviation I hadn't used to get my arse out of the door.

    Good luck with it all

Use the cold blooded perk and the harriers, helicopters, turrets, UAVs can't see you, people using thermal sights can't see you as easily either.

I think sometimes the leveling of teams is very wrong. Played a team deathmatch last night one team had people with all levels above 50, the one I was in everyone was leveled below 40. We didn't win.

The thing I don't get (apart from the obvious money grabbing nature of it all) is why the banks feel it's a good idea to financially penalise the people who have no money?

Surely it would make more sense rather than taking money from those that have none, to limit their account, actually pay attention to how much money a person has in their account, stop them being able to use ATMs, change their card types to electron so funds have to be in the account for the transaction to complete etc.

I've been stung a few times in my penniless student days, when the bank has allowed direct debits to go out when I've been a few pennies short at the end of the month. Obviously the "fine" for having a failed dd is less than the fine for an unauthorised overdraft, so the bank deliberately chooses the most cost effective penalty as far as it's concerned….

Qued for 20 minutes at Sainsburys in Hazel Grove this morning to get my copy. Que was as big when I left as when I joined it at half 7.

Considering the big red 18 on the front and side of the box, I was amazed by the number of pre-pubescent local yoofs skipping away with 3 or 4 copies in their paws. (I'll ignore the one copy per customer rule for now)

superglue can act as a skin irritant on some people, and isn't advised for healing deep wounds.

Dermabond uses a longer carbon chance cyano-acrylate and is safe for gluing yourself back together.

Depends on the game, for something like halflife 2, there's no real difference, but for the newer, more memory intensive games life Crysis, at lower resolutions there's a bit of a difference on the minimum framerate (3-4fps)
