My headline level is 7.5 with LDL at 4.5 and high density of 1.79 giving a ratio of 4.02.
Am I going to die? That QRisk thing says 1% chance….

It bothers me a little as so hard to find the truth on the subject! I’m fit, eat well, lean etc so hopefully will last out!

Why bother repaying the capital piedo? How about letting the debt evenutally erode itself through inflation whilst you make your capital, which in your supremely intelligent plan you are blissfully ploughing into your house, work harder elsewhere.

    This.

Plus its quite tax inefficient to be paying down capital out of after tax income.

I’m doing the same thing – the LEDS will be going on a pitched roof over a kitchen so need to throw quite far, any suggestions?

Yeah – the pain is having to turn/have on a separate amp, that’s what I’d like to avoid…another power line, another remote etc etc

It’s very easy. If it’s not easy to start with walk a bit more than it tells you.
Key to starting running is going slow. Walk-Jog-repeat.

I had a Skype conference voice call to discuss a product design from my bed once. That was fine but mid way they wanted to turn on video to actually show the product. Cue me reaching and quickly putting on a shirt and adjusting the laptop so the angle was right not to show my pillow/bedding. Got it about right and clicked the video button very smug with myself and joined in, when i next registered the little video of myself I noticed i still had my eyemask perched on top of my head (bedroom is light and it was mid afternoon!). Purple satin number with an embroidered dragonfly. Whipped it off of course, hope no one noticed but not sure!

Document what you want them to do and be upfront about it at the start of the i/v process. 5 hours a day is the norm give/take.
If it doesnt work out you send them home. In my experience however they’re very grateful of the chance to come and stay here and appreciate they are ‘working’ in return for free board etc.

We’ve had Au Pairs and either gone by our own network or http://www.aupair-world.co.uk/

The website is pretty crappy but does seem to have best selection of Au Pairs.

We just interview on Skype which give a pretty good idea, esp on language. Can also screen prior to that on email, esp the ones whose first question is ‘what’s the pay?’!

Yes I was wondering about that – how do you withhold an amount though if you are giving them something up front and then paying every fortnight or on milestones etc?

edit: makes sense now I’ve seen post above!

I probably shouldn’t mention this opinion on a cycling forum, but, as a cyclist who commutes through the centre of Brighton everyday, I’m suprised the number is that low. There are some right numpty cyclists doing stupid stuff around buses daily. Yes I’m sure there are also bad bus drivers, but there are a lot more bad cyclists (in Brighton at least)!

Tend to agree, I got verbally abused by a cyclist on my inside while slowing/waiting to turn left and letting them through. Not sure if we would have preferred me run him over?

Actually technically should cyclists be undertaking?

Really you need some acceleromters on each arm and leg tracking movement relative to some point so you can see your own movement on some app.

What about building up distance? How best to go about that?

I’m currently swimming 16 x 50m at about 1.45 pace and wondering whether to switch to longer 100m – have stuck to 50’s so I can focus on keeping my stroke good.

I guess goal long term would be to swim a mile/1650.

Though the more I read the more confused I get – focus on technique and build endurance later vs build endurance and technique will come…

Love that the patient care question went over your head!

Would you allow a patient to die to collect more data? Or stop collecting data to save the patient?

    There’s your answer.

Well, it’s bike questions I’ve got. Buying a tri bike isn’t easy you know.

Yeah it is, P5, job done.

It’s different enough to warrant spending some time learning and practicing. Skills like drafting, sighting, exiting etc. Also breathing can be harder depending on chop etc. Imagine 200 people all running in at same time, not as smooth as the pool!
    Loads of resources on line…

Yeah, Oly too is great. That was just an example but I think the GF1 and Oly EP whatever are generally thought of as the better ones.

As for paying too much tax my heart bleeds for the struggling wealthy it must be utterly terrible trying to get by on higher rate tax….i dont know how you do it but I am thinking of you in your time of need….perhaps we should set up a charity to help you cope?

You can mock but you try telling your au pair that you are reducing her food allowance and she will have to shop at Asda rather than Waitrose. Not easy.

I’m really not sure why you all think the FTSE should be down?! What does the UK economy have to do with that?

    Serious question.

Do you know where most of the FTSE100 revenue is made?

Too small for VC interest I’d imagine at a £700k raise. I would look at Angel syndicates which would be much more around this level and frankly have a bigger appetite for risk with the various EIS incentives.

I have raised money with a syndicate from http://www.lbangels.co.uk/

Also know a similar private fund with perhaps the right appetite, will email you.
