He meant a Popcorn Hour networked media player. I've got one, they're awesome!

Unless you're planning on some IP telephony, the cat5 won't carry the voice. And it won't carry a tv aerial signal.

But don't quote me on it! ;)

I went to see it in trafalgar square earlier. It was impressive, but tbh quite a boring sport to watch!

    Thanks for the comments!

JoB, good point! those will be changed.

Also, bars are being replaced by some Easton ec90 equipe pro. Nice non-ergo shallow bend.

A bit late, but I just got one! Haven’t used it outdoors yet, but seems to fit the bill.

My Gill Pro Speed has died after a few years abuse and wanted a replacement which was more packable (to stick in a jersey pocket) but also with a hood. The Mica seems to fit the bill. The cut it slimmer than normal outdoor jackets so works ok for cycling and its only 185g and packs down very small. Only gripe is the hood is not a rollaway type, but you can kinda fold it a few times to get it out the way.

Cheapest i found it was here: http://www.rawoutdoors.co.uk/Models.aspx?ModelID=2776
    Came next day…

I used to be big into technic. Had the big truck, sports car etc…

Remember I also had this instruction booklet: Technics booklet

There was this motorised cable car design in it which i had moving across my room for months on a piece of kite wire. Good times…

Incidentally, my colleague just bought me this as a joke for my bday. I think she meant for it to represent a bicycle (and oh my geekiness):

Its actually glow in the dark bar tape, which is quite dirty now. Might be changing to black or brown…

PeterPoddy, used to commute on a SS i built for £75. That was good, but this is better. I do 20 miles a day on it and think ‘hey, why not’. Your right thou, gotta think that extra bit now if i wanna lock it somewhere.

Thanks guys! Just need to finish it off by cutting the steerer down and putting on a silver stem, thou they seem to be quite hard to find apart from a Thomson.

Find a brand new unused one on STW classifieds for 275 like I did and decide it was fate?…

Since that photos I have a silver seatpost and rear rack. Looks much nicer. Final touch is a silver stem…

Get a 1gb usb stick, download http://unetbootin.sourceforge.net/, install the Ubuntu 8.10 usb live image to it, and then boot of the usb stick. This will let you play about with it temporarily and see if you like it or let you try out other distros.

Alternatively, if you want it more permanent, install Virtualbox (http://www.virtualbox.org/) on vista and then install Ubuntu as a Virtual Machine. Once you’re happy with it/have chosen the right distro then you could look at installing it properly and dual booting.

You could just replace A with a last Row function.

    i.e Worksheets(“data”).Rows(i).Copy Destination:=Worksheets(region).Rows(Worksheets(region).UsedRange.Rows.Count + 1)

So it gets the last row everytime…

Nezbo, if its an Access query you could prolly use CDate(String) in the statement. Then use date functions on the value. Thou probably best to check if the CDate is creating the right ‘Date’ first.

My VeloVie when it was first built up:

How it looks now with different wheels etc and a whole lot dirtier:

My SS Langster (which was taken to bits last weekend) and I built up a Salsa Casseroll instead (pics to follow) (Frame and forks are for sale)

You can fit guards to a Langster like so…

See the rest of the album for more photos.

However I’m not really liking my langster for some reason. Seem to prefer the beat up old sjs cycles frame i had before which i bodged into SS with old parts. hmmmm

10 miles through North London on the cross bike. Awesome! Made a little detour through some woods…roads were really quiet…chatted to some fellow cyclists…work was empty…dried my clothes in the middle of the office.

Why can’t it be like this everyday?

Just about to set off home…

    also, your line should be

    ActiveSheet.Columns(9).Select

    i.e Columns, not Column

    that should work too.

    damitamit
    Free Member

    try activesheet.Column(9).EntireColumn.select

    or activesheet.cells(9,1).entirecolumn.select

something along those lines i think…

    1. The sleeves on the phantom are slightly longer. But the sugoi sleeves fit me ok.
    2. I suppose it could (i havent tried). Thou not sure how the material would feel.

I think its definately a bit warmer than the phantom.

Also, I went to wash it today and the label says to wash before the first time you wear it (i didnt). I wonder why?

Got the jacket this evening from Cycle Surgery in Selfridges, only place which had a small left (b8stards charged me 10% more because it was in Selfridges, thou I did have vouchers to use).

Bit bored tonight and got a new camera at xmas so here’s some pics!

First up my old Gore Phantom. I’ve had it for a year now and used it mainly for mtb’in and riding to work. I have only twice removed the sleeves. I find the phantom too baggy (its a small). The torso is not bad but i think the whole point of N2S is for it to be by the skin, which it is not. The sleeves on mine are way too baggy. Also the back is too baggy, so if you put something like a mutitool in the pocket, the back droops down too much. Something which really annoys me. Hence this jacket is no-good for road riding without a rucksack/camelbak.

    (sorry for the bad photos)

And now the new Sugoi Firewall 220 Bike Jacket. Its a much closer fit. The arms are not overly long but not short. It seems just right when I bend over. The rear pockets are close fitting so hopefully should hold heavy items well. I have also noticed that jacket uses the 220 softshell material everywhere apart from 2 strips on the back on each side which are just a breathable thermal material. I think this is quite a good idea for ventilation. I’ve had jackets in the past where just the front is windproof but I always find you need the arms windproof too. Finally there is a rubber grip strip around the inside at the bottom of the jacket to minimise it riding up.

I have yet to try the Sugoi outside, but I will be riding to work tomorrow (used the Gore today) in -2 or whatever it is at the mo so that should be a good test. My guess is I’ll wear my lab gear thin merino ls baselayer underneath (wore this under the Gore today).

Incidently, they had the new 2009 Phantom in the store so I tried that on. Seemed a closer fit than mine but still a bit baggy. Also noticed that the material was much nicer than my current one. It was actually a ‘soft’ shell.

Will post back after I’ve used the Sugoi…

I’ve got a old Phantom and i find it too baggy and not roadie enough.

Reserved a Sugoi Firewall in cyclesurgery. Picking it up tonight hopefully.

Out of interest, what did the STW review say about it?
