I use one as a mudguarded road bike, works great. Done over 10000km on it including LEL. It’s the previous version (the current one is much slacker). I run it with a 2x AXS groupset and 32mm slicks with PDW guards. In fact, my partner has just bought the Juliana equivalent frameset to do the same. She previously used a Carbonda frameset (same as an on one freeranger) to do the same thing and that worked pretty well too, until she crashed it. Problem with the Aspero is no proper guard mounts.

I did the last LEL. event. It was mostly a blur but I don’t remember any roads apart from one shortly after entering scotland to be particularly busy. I think it would be a good starting point for a route faster than a NCN type one and then adjust with local knowledge or to detour away from bits where the LEL route went to a specific audax control.

I’ve been riding my Carbonda FM936 (same frame) with 120 Pikes and 100 rear round the lakes for the past few months and it’s been great (thou a little under biked for around here). Built up with GX AXS, Pikes and LB carbon wheels.

A carbonda frame (standard paint) will be ~£600-700. Seeing as thou that Vitus CRX has AXS T-Type and carbon wheels, it would probably cost more to build a carbonda to similar spec.

My Lyrik Ultimates arrived today. Planning to drop them to 150mm.

Decals are green and they weigh 2047g. My Pike Selects (prev gen) weigh 1880g.

That ridley is the same Carbonda 696 gravel frame as the Free Ranger (and Dolan GXC). Seeing as you’re getting Sram Force on the free ranger for £300 more, it’s not that much of a bargain.

My gf was using Libre 1 and then Libre 2 connected to XDrip+ (on android) and then the garmin xdrip widget/datafield to display numbers on both her garmin watch and 530. She’s on Dexcom now (as it connects with her pump) but I’m pretty sure it was working fine when she switched.

So I think the trick is you need to use Xdrip instead of the Libre app. Guide here: https://www.minimallooper.com/post/how-to-setup-freestyle-libre-2-and-oop2-to-use-a-native-bluetooth-connection-in-xdrip

And then use the Xdrip datafield on your garmin here: https://apps.garmin.com/en-US/apps/5a3e2cda-12f0-4afd-88ed-000e67a68d84

Tbh, Xdrip seems to be a better app than both the libre and dexcom android apps.

My partner is looking at these and also confused. Website suggests a small but comparing geo to my bike Medium seems like it will fit her at 168cm. Only thing is the standover looks really high compared to other bikes.

Has this been a problem for people here who have them?

Received these today. They’re the Performance version with Grip as suggested above.

Having had a gen 2 berlingo for 1.5 years now, I think my ultimate berlingo would be this same one but with less road/cabin noise. We love it for bike/outdoor related activities, plus DIY! Should’ve bought one years ago.

I wonder if I could take it to a car audio place and they could dynamat it enough that it felt like being in a normal car?

Finished mine last week and rode it a couple of times this weekend. Really like it! Feels nicer to ride than my 26″ anthem I swapped from.

I’ve got one of those Bucket Boss tool rolls arriving this week (from Amazon US). Hopefully its as good as the Magma!

Mine arrived today. Loose in the box so obviously it’s scratched! CRC are jokers.

I’m localish and ride the wider tracks on my gravel bike a fair bit. Have found a couple of singletrack bits but would love to find some more and take the mtb, so keen for those gpx files too Kryton57.

My partner’s had the libre 1 for a couple years now. Paired with a MiaoMiao bluetooth sensor I got from China its been a ‘gamechanger’ for her too. Using Android and Xdrip+, one of the best things about it is also having her blood sugar displayed on her Garmin. Makes controlling her levels on a 5 hour ride so much easier! Pre-libre she says she was constantly thinking about her numbers/what she’s eaten/what she needs to eat for the entire ride.

I was thinking gloss black too. Got any pics? How long did it take to arrive?

Has it got internal dropper post routing?

Great post. Been looking at these today (and other chinese carbon 29er options).

Its a copy of a SB highball right? And their T1100 hardtail looks to be the same geo as a Epic HT, but seems overpriced compared to the SpCycle SP-M05 (looks to be the same frame).

How long did it take to arrive?

Anyone got one? How does it ride?

Looking to buy the frameset as an alternative to something like the Spesh Chisel. I’m coming off a 26″ Anthem X4. How will this ride in comparison?

Nice one. Ordered some Sectors to replace my really old Codes.

Still being in the dark ages in terms of mtb geo, I’m bit confused on stem size for this.

What sort of length stem should I run on a small/med HT-01?

Thanks for the all the info! Sounds like Medium is the one.

From my calculations, the head angle would be 1 degree steeper with the 100mm forks and still less than the Trek X-Caliber (which she was planning on buying). I guess if it was bad I could get a slackset?

Quite the roadies in this house and I’m still running a 26″ anthem so not sure we’ll notice the “twitchy/head down” handling with a shorter fork.

Looks like a decent frame for the money. Gonna get it sprayed a better colour, then build it up with these Fox 32s and a Deore/XT mix 1×11 I have in the cupboard.

Thanks for the heads up! Thou i think these are 2018?

Do you know if you can change the travel on these to 120mm?

I was looking for a similar thing recently and have even less space (no shed) so it had to be small.

After much deliberation, I went with the Makita DVC750 cordless dry/wet vacuum. It gets some good reviews (apart from average suction) and i had Makita batteries already. Had it a couple of weeks now and I wouldn’t say Im amazed (yet). Its way louder than I expected and the suction is ok (but maybe it doesn’t need to be that great for saw dust). Fits on my Mac allister track saw and katsu router fine and functionality it is very neat and works well. Also very solid.

The similar Milwaulkee gets good reviews, so might be worth seeing if there’s a battery adapter available for your Dewalt batteries.

Alternatively, there’s a very small corded vac in Lidl at the mo for 30 quid. Get that and one of those e-on power down plugs for Power take off.

For anyone experiencing this problem too, I updated the firmware using the file in the link above and it seems to have fixed the issue. Was fairly straightforward using a 8gb usb stick.

I went with the latest version 6.4.A.R10.

Nice one, mines a Berlingo Multispace XTR so i guess the same. Was already signed up to GPSPower but its a minefield.

    Will have a read…

    Which version did you use?

Where did you order the Shimano windbreakers from?

Those DHBs with polartec alpha seem a good idea but the review thinks otherwise.

I just got a Hydroshot 620 with all the brushes and stuff and fast charger on Amazon Warehouse for £70 with the 30% off deal at the mo. Arrived yesterday and seems to be new.

Does anyone know if I can buy an extension to the fork mounting bracket from somewhere? I literally need another inch of the sticky-out bit to reach the hole in the fork.

I just made one out of a old blackburn rack stay. Has held up fine for months.

Put my SKS Edge AL 56 on the Niner this week. Still need to make some flaps…

The front doesnt fit under the fork even with some strategic bending

If you mean width ways, I stuck mine in a vice to crimped the sides to make it fit.

Here’s mine from last winter. SKS Edge AL, covering 650×1.9 Gravel King SKs. Loved not getting muddy on the morning ride! Bike has gone but still have the guards and they’ll be going on my new Niner RLT this week.

I’ve got a old Airborne Carpe Diem frame I’m about to turn into a commuter, that I was planning to get sprayed first.

If you don’t mind me posting it to you, you can paint that (i can come pick it up once its done). I even don’t mind what colour you do as long as its dark!

I wanted to buy a pre-facelift 90bhp diesel XTR as those can be had for 3-4k but in the ended up deciding a BlueHdi was probably best being that we’re inside the ULEZ zone coming into play next Oct.

I bought a 2016 Berlingo XTR BlueHdi 90bhp with 50k miles last week. Private sale £7100 (thou that was after negotiating 900 off as it was overpriced). As you say, the (good) ones that came up seem to go quickly.

I don’t think I got an great a deal, but it was close and available that evening and I trusted the seller (as much as you can). And its got all the extra’s we wanted… Cruise, Tailgate hatch and parking sensors.

Ah ok. Is that the rubber version you have?

    damitamit

Got a response from SimplyCarMats. They said they think they should fit and also that the rubber ones do not have a lipped edge.

    @trailrat
do yours have a lip? If not, is liquid run off a problem?
