I have seen this on a forum. If you google qashqai faulty wipers it should come up. I seem to remember it is corrosion on the shaft causing the motor to seize and blow the fuse. Need a new motor to fix it properly but you might get away with cleaning and greasing the shaft.

I have tivo and I don’t get pop up adverts when I pause live TV. Is it certain channels?

The long term legacy of this government doesn’t bare thinking about!

This may be true but unfortunately for Labour it’s too soon after their previous incarnation as a shambolic government for anyone to consider voting them back in power.

There is no political party currently equipped to save this nation. So most people will be like Paxman and not bother voting.

I add black pepper to mine. A few twists from the mill and taste to check it’s right.

Seeing and hearing this rip round Donnington park in 1999 meant I had to have a bike. Sadly not one of these but a CBR600 which was great fun. The 500 era was fantastic, i still miss the smell of two stroke at the races.

dhb bib shorts and a Castelli short sleeve jersey. Optimistic purchase earlier in the week thinking the weekend will be warm enough to wear it.

As long as the centre lock rotor is the same diameter as your existing rotor it will fit. You may have to adjust the alignment of the caliper if the brake rubs but that will be all.

If you buy a bike branded set you get a T25 torx as well. Don’t think you do with non-bike brand ones.

The rock shox are good. Plush travel and light weight for the price. Plenty of adjustment so ticks most boxes. That’s the one I’d spend my money on.

I did promise myself no more bikes this year, but after watching the trailer I reckon fixation just might be enough of an excuse to build the fixie I’ve always put off!

When i watched the movie I felt the same for days. I have managed to resist. So far …..

I enjoyed Fixation, definitely worth a watch. Link to trailer on You tube.

Thanks Andy, I needed a new rear mech so just used the SWQFXD3T voucher to save a tenner. :-)

Vittoria open corsa evo’s on my Cannondale. 320 TPI and 120psi and even though they’re only 20mm wide it’s a carpet ride and very fast.

Actually he’s the fastest of the handful of current drivers who have gone on top gear to set a time in a liana.

This. F1 qualifying doesn’t tell you who’s a fast driver. It tells you which combo of car/driver is fastest on the day. Lewis is the fastest driver around the TG track in their Liana. I would like to see Alonso take the challenge. He could beat the time, he may not. Those two are the fastest drivers there’s no doubt but I think Lewis is fastest of all.

Lewis will do alright. he’s the fastest driver in F1 as he proved on Top Gear when he lapped their track nearly a second faster than Vettel in the liana. That is the closest you will ever get to the drivers having the same equipment to race each other so is a good indicator of true speed.

Mercedes will definitely be competitive this year. With one car anyway.

Black. I had white SID’s on my red anthem x1 and changed to black when I bought 120mm rebas. It looks more “business like” now

Didn’t know about the xtr difference on the bcd. Rain check for now, might wait until I need to replace cassette and chain as well and then bite the bullet and go 2 x 10.

Alpinestars cro-mega from 1991. I refurb’ed it a couple of years ago and use it on dry sunny days. Still a very capable trail bike and an excellent climber. It’s just a bit hardcore on the descents with the rigid forks.

I always need a valeter when it’s time to return the car :( The lease company can be quite fussy about the condition when you hand it back.

Some interesting replies about car care but no one has done it which surprises me. I thought if anyone had tried it they’d be on here. :-)
I should have put in my original post that it’s a company car so car it’s not going to be hand washed very often by me. Local hand washes round here are all immigrant gangs who don’t take any care anyway and I doubt the businesses are contributing any tax from their takings so they’re not getting my money.

Vorlich – I have mine attached one facing forwards and the other backwards. Don’t have any problems loading.

Looking at the design it just seemed that they are quite low profile and if you strap the clamp there shouldn’t be anything to get caught.

Flex strap it is then. There’s two straps in the kit so as you say it should fit loads of stuff. Thanks for the replies.

Nice one. Being able to change where you attach it is another bonus I hadn’t thought of. Wiggle have got them so I think I’ll give it a go.

I run my 2010 anthem X1 with a 120mm reba with maxle and prefer it to the 100mm front forks. You can get them at merlin for £300 or less and £350 should get you SID 120mm. I think much more and it will start to affect the geometry and put stress on the headtube. If you want more it may be better to sell the anthem and get a longer travel frame.

I meant just use the washers. Not the screws. The washers will fit.

    Get some of these. http://www.wiggle.co.uk/avid-caliper-mounting-bracket-hardware-kit/
They will look neater and you will be able to adjust the caliper angle against the rotor. They’re cheap too.

I’ll take the front hose Rob if you will send it for postage cost? I found a split in mine today where it exits the master cylinder.

Might be worth asking at your local store if you want one.

No probs. I’m having a clearout at the moment and have already got a load of ultegra stuff going on ebay tonight so I’m going to wait a couple of weeks before listing the next batch. It should do well as it’s got the sram red rings so looks better than standard. I wouldn’t spend the extra on the red chainset now as I’ve seen both as I reckon the cranks are the same with different graphics. Weight is within a few grams which could just be tolerances.

Sorry, typo, should be 50/34 rings.
