I know that I need the receiver (the bit with the on-off button) which should be connected to the boiler. And the transmitter should be in an ‘inhabited’ bit of the flat (like the living room). But I can’t find the receiver anywhere and the behaviour of the boiler suggests that there either isn’t one, or it’s dead.

So if you know why ask ?

Mobile communications Do effect planes systems, not enough to cause a malfunction but enough to distract pilots at crucial points of trying to fly them. Namely take off and landing, an incident occuring that could be serious to the safety of the craft then the pilot being distracted could make for a crash, it hasnt yet or has it ?

There must be a receiver mounted b the boiler or even the timer. There are a pair of volt free contacts on the receiver whih need to be wired in series with the timers cotacts.

Compressed Nitrogen in there, so no royal mail wont deliver. So who are the shock mending people using.
Batteries cant send the unless they are in an electronic device. Well that is unless they meet what appears to be conditions for packaging.

Yes so shed another 300 off your bike with the XC3s, racing 2 hour you dont need strong wheels as the courses these days are mor like a cross course.

I run 4 sets of Hope hubs. As with all mechanical things they will wear out and break, I’ve broken Shimano axles free hubs and bearings I’ve also broken a Hope axle, however Hope I can buy a spare shimano its usually a new hub/wheel. This has always been on MTBs
For the road Go for the Hope, I love my Pro 3s 🙂

One consideration is to deep bed your allotment, 4 foot by 4 foot beds. I find i a lot easier to manage as getting one bed ready for planting is so easy, crop rotation is made simple and application of fertilizer more efficient.

Dont bother with Asparagus, or maybe do if you have a lot of growing space.
Have a look around at all the fruit and veg you like when you walk around a supermarket but dont buy because you always say “How Much”
Growing potatoes go for unusual varieties, again expensive, I grow Jerusalem artichokes as well as artichokes. Try Garlic but get it in now. Cabbage, fennel, hamburg parsley, salsify, purple top turnips are some of my favourites as easy to grow and store

Suppose you are lucky, I have fibre to the curb so 80 max. Drops to about 17 when everyones on it. But for me its enough I pull in the odd film now and then

Racing I sometimes see peaks of 190 but still not the actual max my heart will go to dont fancy collapsing. I use 200, as my max but could be more, for setting Zones.
Recent 24 heart rate test gave me a resting lowest of 46 and max of 171 but I wasnt really trying.
Last race I maxed at 181 but with a 50 minute average of 171.

So for those of you getting 190+ I would hazard a guess that actual max would be 200+. Moonman if you’ve had a 213 and didnt collapse you may well have a max of 220 !!! Worth getting it measured if you want to use hr zones for training

Have you had it measured, max that is, Moonman ?

You seem to have taken the best approach sma as a few others have, me included 🙂 although all I have done is a cat 5 cable to where I need it. I’ve used, as said before a simple BT home hub 2 as they were free and also give better wireless cover in the rooms where fitted and into the front garden as well. Only 2 of us in the house watching TV in one room or maybe a 2nd room wih HD streamed from my PVR
Do you really need a switch ? how much traffic will you be generating ? how many simultaneous users ?

    No idea if I am.
However I’mgoing to hunt you down adjustable wench and do you immense harm.
I now need a new tablet, the link wouldnt work trying to tap the start test, even taking a hammer to it wouldn’t work, throwing it across the room and stamping on it seems to have been its death knell, as it will be yours 😈

Depends what you are using loft space for ! If its for storage or working in I’d use kingspan in between roof joists, and probably box it out as a room and insualte the walls. Why because of the very high and low temp ranges you get make it unsuitable for storing anything nice or working in

Confusing HRmax with “maximum heart rate recorded on todays ride”
If you are wanting to use a HR monitor as training aid find out your actual maximum your heart will go to.

So hands up who has a need for transferring 4 gig ? never mind 24 gig. I’m wondering if someone is just googling stuff on the net and firing off comments, I’m retired but did a lot of work with switches dont remember it all but the speeds you are talking are immense for simple home networking. The 80 meg [yes meg] is my ISP speed my network runs at 100 meg but even a tv program in HD I’m sure aint much more tan 45 meg. So maybe you have a clear feed into your house which would be about 2 gig, we use to take those direct from some broadcasters, but sticking it up to a transmitter we only had 68 meg.

I’m struggling to understand having multiple access points in a small room at some point they have to connect, then its back to the one network with its speed limitations. So you may as well have one cable and a hub

Geez some people have bigger lan setups than I built to run a big network [big think Yorkshire, all of it]

Cat 5 is all I’ve used just to where the tvs are, using old BT Home Hub 2 for connecting the PVR and TV also as a wireless repeater can also plug other cables in if need be.They are as cheap as chips on ebay
I’m sat here typing and currently have a sped of 72 meg which is 3/4s of the theoretical max of cat 5, now when the supplier to the curb lifts its speed to over 100 m I may struggle but I dont know of any ISP who will be offering speeds of over 100 Mbs in the near future.
