    Dignitas have an option

That would depend how much it costs, you wouldn’t want to get in to debt.

But he can afford it, minted apparently.

Shortly to be moving to the Keswick area for similar reasons to OP, apart from the surf stuff but the coast is only a short drive away.

At last thats you off my patch :P

Nonsense. Skiing is niche in outdoor people – it’s something rich people do. Walking and climbing is traditionally done by skint pepole.

I think you will find the opposite if you went to a ski resort, maybe if you said
“A once a year ski holiday is what most British skiers have and they pay through the nose for it”

Bristol is a nice city if I was looking for a city abode it would be on the list, but for walking climbing it would have to be north east or south west as those area are where the surf is.

I’m find it really hard (retirement)
Lovely sunny day yesterday and as I have no free bus pass till 2021 or a state pension, I had to go to the cafe on my bike 50 miles later I was knackered. However I did manage a couple of sneaky Wharfedale Blondes last night as recovery drinks.
Today I’m having to do the garden, its sunny again and cant find the sun cream.
Tomorrow I’m having another pitiful day riding the route of Le Tour with a pro, hoping he is knackered after the 2 clssics he rode at the weekend.
Life is tough on a pension :-(

3 crags, lots of hills and can nearly see the coast, can walk to the train station, with a direct train to London. Its quiet and yet has a very good MTB scene, can ride to my local trail centres.
Where ? well I’m not telling I want to keep it this way dont want any Townies here ;-)

Well spent the afternoon chilling, beers in MBC and now getting ready for a 7 course meal in a rather posh restaurant
wasnt too bothered about not skiing after driving to chsm in a day, after a bad nights sleep on the ferry, a fire on the car dek(Artic on fire) made for an exciting crossing,

Vis on the hill is about 50 metres, so its not good conditions forecast to be good inthe morning so will be making fresh tracks.
Dont really need to ski in bad weather, plenty of time to wait till its sunny :-)

It does have lower amount of brake jack/ squat or what ever you want to call it . And they do track the ground betterer whe climbing over a single pivot.
Well thats my experience yours may be different.
Oh and most manufacturers try getting around the Horst link pivot in the chain stay by putting them in the seat stay or in the axle,so I guess there’s something in it.

We havent bought any bread for 4 months. All is homemade with this my favourite recipe.

    300 ml Buttermilk
    1 egg
    1 Tablespoon of honey
450 gms strong flour or 300 gms strong + 150 gms self raising [gives slightly different texture]
    1 teaspoon Bicarbonate of Soda.
    1 Teaspoon Salt.
Make a good liquid mix of the milk egg and honey add to the dry ingredients and short knead on floured surface make a 18″ sausage like “Thing” bake on a baking tray dusted with flour to stop it sticking bake for 40 minutes in a 180 c oven.

If you dont have butter milk, make a substitute [which is what I use] 300ml milk add 2 tablespoons of either Lemon juice/white wine vinegar/cider vinegar to sour it.

The only ones I’ve found that come close are Endura Deluge gloves. Tried loads of gloves and these are now my default winter riding ones. So far so good.
Agree with that, I’ve tried Altura, Sealskinz Gore to nam a few and the Endura Deluge are by far the best.
