Out of interest what are you running as a chainset ?
After a few Summer crosses and 3 nights of training for the impending winter series, I’m finding my 34/50 with 12-30 totally wrong.
34 with 12 in the sprint starts and I’m out of gears.Starting in 50 27 is OK but once on course the 50 becomes redundant.
Noticed quite a few running singles with a clutch rear mech.
    Ideas ??

He is ok, but does smart. I recently hit a vertical angle iron head first it made quite an impression on the lid but apart from a sore neck I was OK.

Agreed its not as difficult as first thought. Must buy a plectrum thogh as it marmalises your finger nails.

Well its true and still running fine, in fact on my wifes bike as an upgrade.
[Do you think I’d be foolish enough to test em myself ? :-) ]

Whats your plans for the bike? Is a long term prospect or just got a couple of years left? What are you doing with it and did the triad feel massively underperforming?

Mike I did a lightweight build, the frame was a crash replacement from Specialized so stuck some Rockshock forks on

    and some wheels

    then some brakes

Then XT 10 speed so its light and rides well mostly used for XC 12/24 hour events so its not been used that much, think it was the heat [34+] and hitting a lump with lockout till on.
There’s a lot of life left in the bike for XC.

Running triples and compacts and all

52/39 or 53/39 is all you needed, unless you are collecting your pension. Then you may consider a compact.
Or is it too late and you’ve gone triple ?

It was done in a turbo trainer with bits [ tie wraps ] sticking out as measuring things. fine tuned for dishing in a frame.
Bent a rim bought a new one and swapped everything across. Looked odd at first then realized that its an asymmetric rim.

Avoid the cycle path out of Morecambe, in fact avoid the route thee are nicer routes C2C.
I do Morecambe to Skipton in about 4 hours via Settle and Hetton avoiding the big hill out of Settle on the Way of the Roses.
Skipton to the Helmsley Via Easingwold took 4.5 hours The coast is 30 sh miles further on.
    Hope tat helps some.

There was an issue with the Lezyne rear light brackets, it hs been sorted and a new deeper version is available. The importer sent me a post production one to tryafter my light fell off, since had a new one sent foc. Btw this was about a year ago so all in shops sjould be the new type.

A point to add is all my small tents are capable of being pitched with just the inner having Mossie net doors, I find this feature very useful. Some tents you have to pitch both fly and inner together.

Oh and I always take a tankful of Yorkshire water. To go with above mentioned T-Bags.
Unless you are going to Cham where its Evian water out of the taps.

    Never heard anything.
Had on last month, be interesting to see if anything has changed.

With closed systems air between the diaphragm and the brake fluid is the cause.
With Hope and older XT levers you can easily get rid by taking off the reservoir lid, filling to the brim and rolling the diaphragm into the fluid. Modern XT not sure if this can be done, someone may know.

Just come back from Mallorca two weeks over there and it was starting to get busy on some of the roads. Heat was building as well.
Had a week at Viva Blue but much preferred 2nd week staying in alaro.
Yell if you want any info.

Just imagine its cold wet and windy and you are trying to fiddle that multitool onto your spindly valve. Then release the gas in a controled method.

We should be more worried by the fact he bought a house on the Isle of Man and then tried getting the coastal path diverted in land so Oiks [can I use that word ?] didnt walk across his land.
Sums him up really arse hole

    Anyone watched Papillon ?
Maybe an island along those lines and put all the convicted killers on it.
Isle of Man should be large enough.

Kittel have you seen what you have to ride on in the Tour de Romandie ?

    That looks a bit tight.

Not quite as bad as the killer Yorkshire roads,
