They’d be fine, mind I’d not bother with axe or crampons unless I was doing Red Pencil then it would probably only be an axe for torquing

I have a dimension travel machine for sale, its similar to a time machine but subtly different as the outside is bigger than the inside but it can expand to fill the space required.
If you are interested let me know and I’ll try and get it to you.
BTW a full space time coordinate will be required.

I live in Skipton and the snow’s coming down quite heavily again.

Living a few miles further North has its benefits then 🙂
Just light flurries and although the drifting has caused problems for drivers we aint had that much snow. Around our Network {yorks Lancs] 6″ at the most.
This is snow which fell to a depth of about a metre in a day.

Indeed Penine now in the lower Eden valley and ther is no snow at all, however Dun fell etc are absolutely plastered with snow more there than the 3 peaks positively Alpine looking. West to the Lakes tis cloudy so no idea what its like. there is
Tarmac road climb away from Malham past Gordale scar up onto Mastiles lane across tops towards settle via Malham Tarn if you’ve time drop down to settle and back via Stockdale lane would be my choice for a ride from Malham

IIRC Hull is in East Yorkshire, North Yorkshire is “Gods Own County” so for those Geographicaly challenged, stick to the trail centres

    Dales_rider

Burnley is, if I remember my geography, more like south of Skipton. Now in the upper Eden valley Aisgill, more snow than you can shake a stick at you certainly wouldn’t enjoy stuff around Kirkby Stephen. And for the burnlyite southerner I was over in Lancaster yesterday and once passed Clapham the snow diminishes

Most of the fields and low lying moors are blasted clean with all the snow up agin the walls and in gills and swallow holes snow level is fairly high maybe about the top 500 feet is there any full cover. Up towards Ribblehead and Dent the conditions worsen, snowing now and lots of icing, heavier drifting. To the South its much clearer a safe bet would be Gisburn Trail Centre.

The snow came from the east any track road that runs north south has drifts on it. Some of the small back roads are still drifting over. There is less snow the further west you travel. None at Lancaster for instance. I’m just heading up the Settle and Carlisle line I’ll tell you later what I see

This will probably mean that your stem isn’t slammed.

Can I refer you to this ?

    Rule #45
    // Slam your stem.

A maximum stack height of 2cm is allowed below the stem and a single 5mm spacer must always – always – be stacked above. A “slammed down” stack height is preferable; meaning that the stem is positioned directly on the top race of the headset.

It was a revelation to take 5mm out of the steerer stack, suddenly the bars fitted.

    NIPPLE FACTS

1./ The more you play with nipples, the bigger they can grow.

2./ Men have nipples because when we’re conceived we don’t have a gender – Your nipples came before your penis.

3./ Joggers’ nipples can affect the way they run – Some men get nipple chaffing, the worst type of chaff known to man. Perhaps, this is why there’s so many shirtless marathon runners.

4./ It really hurts to get nipples waxed

5./ In some cases of extreme stress men can lactate too!

6./ Nipple tassels are not cool on dudes

7./ Some men have a third nipple! 12.5% of people have a third nipple; supposedly, Mark Wahlberg (Marky Mark) is one of them. If you lived in the middle ages and had a third nipple, you were considered a witch and burned at the stake. The third nipple was what the devil or an imp would use to suck blood out of the witch (obviously).

8./ Some men have inverted nipples

9./ Some areolas are hairy – even women’s

10./ Just because they are erect doesn’t mean we’re aroused – Nipples can become hard due to sexual stimulation, but they can also harden due to cold temperatures.

11./ Showing some nip at the gym is bad etiquette – In some gyms, it’s considered extremely rude to have your nipples show while you’re working out. Unless you are a women then its OK

12./ The distance between men’s nipples is 9 inches

13./ Mammillaphobia is the fear of nipples.

14./ Male rats and mice have hormones that suppress nipple growth.

15./ During puberty, males’ nipples sometimes grow – Some guys have enough estrogen flowing through them, that their nipples become puffy and female-like. This chemical imbalance eventual evens out.

16./ Take care of your nipples – Men can get breast cancer too. If you have a persistent itch, pain, or just aren’t comfortable with your nipples consult your doctor immediately!

17./ Most men like having their nipples played with.

18./ A group called Milkmen are fathers that breastfeed

5 o’clock start and a quick run down th Aire valley
90 MPH was ok a few drifts about but not that much snow popped into Leeds for breakfast now pff up the wharfe valley for a coffee in Ilkley, cant get much above 80 lots of moving snow.
Not that much fallen in Yorkshire

You can’t be serious! How, very, irresponsible………

Nowlt much in front, so no problem a fast run back up from Leeds hitting a nice 90 again, even with some snow on the bends it cornered like it was on rails 🙂

Instead of going with 24 try sticking with 22 and use an Ultegra 12-30 cassette
If you have an XT 22/32/44 it gives a good set of gears

A factor to consider is what type of riding you do, I pondered tjis for a while and settled on a 10 speed Ultegra cassette 12-30
    Gave low enough with granny
High enough with big ring and closer ratios

Before I put furnishings in and bought a bike rack I fixed a length of “Unistrut” between the anchorage points with unistrut right angled brackets you can then fasten the front forks to the floor with the QR with the front wheels out, It saves them moving about.

Seems like only an engineers visit will sort it, if you are new build with underground feed then its unlikely to be the cable from the house to the cabinet.
As someone said before it will be either termination in the cabinet or the exchange, they use a Krone strip usually which is a bigger version of the termination inside your master socket [pushed into a slot with a special tool] and relies on the tension of the two metallic sides to cut through the insulation and grip the conductor.
It may be this termination in the master socket causing the problem. Also on some UG fed lines a termination block is used on the wall of the house to swap from UG cable to internal cable, may be worth checking yourself, if you know what you are doing/looking for.

No overhead feed, it’s a recently built property.

Why can’t I tell them it’s just a crackly line? Will they fob me off?
Its not easy to check for a crackly line especially if its intermittent, I’m guessing they are told not to get an engineer out so literaly fob you off.
Mind even with ring trip [one ring and then ringing stops] they said there was no fault even though they couldnt ring me back to tell me because, you guessed it, the ring trip.
If you are sure its outside just tell them you want an engineers visit.

You dont happen to be fed overhead ?
Does your OH Wire run near trees ?
Dont trust the person in India
If you are sure its not Internal get a BT engineer out, you are paying them for the line even if you dont get your Internet from them.
Make up porkys tell em its started cutting out and lines tripping after 1 ring anything but a crackly line.
