Not realy, if lockout failed it would be the valve inside the shaft which need attention so if they found no fault how is it fixed ?

I have 2 bikes with Triads on one four years old and tother 2 years no issues.

    Top tips

    1./ Get a lifting tailgate
2./ Find a caravelle if you can = no VAT + classed as a car for all things ferry/speed limits/VED
3./ Buy the VW 4 bike carrier = with 1./ above you can open it with bikes on.
4./ Twin Sliding doors if possible
5./ Go for a 2.5 130 if you can find one. Timing chain as opposed to belt

For bikes in the back get

    This unistrut

    and these

fix the channel to a wide piece of wood fastened to the rear load anchorage points. Set the brackets to fork width and front wheel off and secure with QR.

Revenge is all you should have thought about, next time wait and watch as she returns to her car laden with shopping and realises that all 4 tyres are flat.

The best look I’ve seen on some ones face was when I zip tied a shopping trolley to the front bumper of a car, he didnt even notice it there as he reversed out or for at least 5 yards moving forwards :-):-)

I’m curious as to why a lot of people think that full sussers are faster than a hardtail.

I always wondered until I did a 12 hour solo, had hard tail and full susser fastest laps [7 miles] were on the full susser. But would depend on what course/trail you were riding. On the day there was some fairly lumpy rock garden climbing with some difficult descents interspersed with fire road.
Some of my local trails would be faster on a hardtail but not many.

If I could be bothered I’d jump on the bike and ride the couple of miles to the top of the moor and let you know, however as its cold currently snowing and theres a lot of snow on the western side I’m popping out on the road bike.

My young nice female physio asked me how I was finding the bike riding. On telling her it (My back) starts to ache 10 to 15 miles into a ride she (after 2 months seeing her) asked how far I was riding she found it hard to accept that I was doing short 45 mile rides. She must be 40 years younger.
As for middle age well friend wont see this year out and he’s 55 so he missed his middle age when he was young.

Just done it with XT, 9 speed triple Ultegra 12-32 cassette and a shadow+
Its the best gear set up I’ve had for MTB in 20 years.
Going double or single takes away either the low gears or the high gears unless you have a big spread.
Run the triple to start and see what gears you use the most then change the front rings to suit where you ride and your riding style

I must confess I haven’t really noticed the difference in stiffness but I’m sure that you’re right. They are lovely to ride on especially like you said on our roads.

I notice it with the front when out the saddle, it does flex and touch the brake pads, that said it will be the bike I’ll be on this sunday for our clubs

Hell [ish] of the North [Leeds] ride

Hope with the 25 c tyres they will suit.

It affected my daughters season in Chamonix [hosting ban], as it affected the bookings her company had. They have [French] set the ball rolling for a lot of companies to pull out of French resorts.

I’m heading there next Friday for the race and the Fleche Walloon mid week followed by the Liege Baston Liege.
The Cauberg gets mental and wouldnt advise riding near it on race day,

Maybe as they do it 4 times, I think, we will watch first up then maybe pop to Gulpen and back for the finish which is now 2 k from the top of the Couburg the same as last years Worlds

Last year I decided to buy myself a nice set of road wheels as a present to myself after Esplin junior no2 was born. I choose Chris King R45 ceramic hubs on Open Pro rims

A good rim I run them on my winter bike laced to Hope Pro 3 hubs love the noise 🙂 However no where as stiff as the Ksyriums. + side is they absorb the bumps and lumps on our “Modern Roads”

Thanks all for the input. To be clear, this is very much a King lust thing, May just save myself £400 and go with something much more functional.

Not many people on road bikes lust for CK to be honest, from a good wheel set point of view I’d love some Dura ace C35 but for the time being I’ll stick with My Ksyrium Elites and maybe just maybe buy some R-Sys SLR wheels in the summer sales.

Plus dont forget that the price of the Chris king hub is over inflated due to import etc.

eg. Front hub is only $180 in the states and thats £120 at todays low exchange rate not the inflated £150. So you are spending £30 for no performance increase.

Lots better out there at £500 for the hubs alone what with rims and the spokes you’re looking at top side of a decent pair of Mavic wheels.

I’m waiting for the SRAM one to arrive, if its good at least 2 more will be bought for the bikes.
I just want it so as the damn thing stops rotating around the stem and as a side it should make viewing it easier.

Weapons are for war, there are no other reasonable purpose for them.

If you turn up to a war with an airgun all the other soldiers are going to laugh at you

Worrying thing isnt that the guy that does the homemade firework ?

Love my air rifle, a permanent fixture stood in the corner of the room

Oddly this is now illegal. You actually need to keep it locked up. Utterly unenforcible, but if you get burgled don’t mention the gun…

Oddly its not, I just have to prevent access to take ‘reasonable precautions’ to prevent unauthorised access to an air weapon by young persons aged under 18.

As no one under the age of 18 is reasonably likely to access my house and the house is usually reasonably locked, its reasonable to assume I’ve taken reasonable precautions.

    🙂

Love my air rifle, a permanent fixture stood in the corner of the room with strangely enough a pair of skis.
I had a shotgun licence but let that slip so the gun went.
Personally I know when/if I was shot which one I’d choose to be on the end of.
BTW its a vintage Weihrauch HW 35 .22 which is just right for pest control.

Tube in, blow it up to seat on rim, remove one side only and take tube out, inflate anow it should seat easily.
Then core of valve out or open up a little bit of the tyre bead to pour in the “Gunge”

    Works just done it

The reality of this “Bedroom Tax” is it will hit some very hard, my mother who on a single pension of £107 a week and lives in a small 2 bed bungalow. The spare room is often used by family visiting her and staying over night. She is mostly house bound and would need a one bedded bungalow which dont exist in the area.
