Latest, like it doesnt feel quick but 5 PRs on climbs and a 9th out of 900 for a descent says other wise 🙂

    A few others hanging around

If you look up the safety data sheets its the same as FS1 the bike specific one, just a different colour.
Pretty much the same as Muc Off IIRC.

Just finished the buuild on a Cross, nice ride out to Bolton Abbey. Sat with a nice double espresso contemplating the climb back over the moors.
Thats number 9 in the stable 3 of which are the missus’
Funny thing is when sorting out bits I reckon that I have enough for another hard tail, just need a frame 🙂

The bridleway from the A59 to the top of round hill is quite often boggy and not good for riding up, OK for Down.
From the A59 I use a “Track” to the top of Round Hill, its a landrover track and can be ridden all the way up. The track is 1/2 a mile west of the bridleway on the A59, map ref SE11773 54720. Never been challenged.
From the top of roundhill there is a nice route [not a bridleway so no way would I suggest you ride it]west to the top of Beacon Hill and then down to the Langbar road, then 1/2 a mile SE is another drop down on a bridleway to the Nesfield road, fraid its road back to Otley. Lots of stuff on Ilkley Moor our club [Ilkley] rides it Thursday night, pop in JDs bike shop for more info.

Personally I’d say improve on all counts, most people put max effort into riding up hills but on the flat are happy to cruise. Downhilling just watch the video on Cancellaras descent, which put him back in the race.

Yes, yes it does if you are very old you must be in the village where I live but dont remember any duck races back then or Ron doing anything but climbing.

Edit:- and thats what gets you good climbing all weathers out doors.

Having climbed a fair bit and done my share of new routing on Yorkshire Grit and Limestone its fair to say that no matter what style you have or sex you are when it starts heading into the 7a / 7b territory there is usually only one way to get up the route.

Canon D700, is what I bought after looking at all the optiiions.
Watch out for all the cheap offers on some of the websites. When you add delivery and all the other bits and bats the price creeps up.
I used John Lewis they give a 2 year warranty and free delivery, plus its a shop you can walk into and look at the cameras and take it back if you have a problem. Providing ther’s’one near you.
Dont forget for what you will be using it for you will need a tripod

Having just changed gearing from a 30 granny with a 12-25 block to a 39 standing up on some of the Dales hills has been the only way to get up them. This has had the effect of giving me PRs on every hill, so there’s’your answer

Thinking back my best ever bike must be the Diamond Back Ascent EX

2 new frames. New bars, shifters, 5 sets of wheels, 3 forks, umpteen gear sets and chains, not to mention saddles. Cantis, V brakes, disks on the front.

They dont make bikes like that anymore 🙂

There is only one which is no longer in my shed. The best of the others is the Stumpy Elite ’08

Miles are miles. Bit sneaky to hold back until the last minute with logging them. Ninth it is then and “must try harder” this month.

    Wasn’t intentional.

I just spotted it the other day and thought I’d join. I’ve not been on for a while and saw Krytons Post and jumped in.

    Technicaly in the wrong challenge
