After i lost vision in one eye last week for a day started wearing on the Jogle like it carried on the rest of the week works a treat. My roadie friend hated it with his cap under lid look. threatened to throw it in the sea on our arrival at Lands End.

Well as one of the other guys riding with foxy. I am the one looking at the accomadation. I have no desire to stay in hostels thankyou to old for that nonsence. Adventure spirit yes we like to know where we are going mapping it is part of the fun for us. planning is part of the adventure without a plan you have nothing. When you have a family responsabilities a wife etc. you have a short window of opertunity to do this. time is limited. planning makes the best use of the time available. Your life is not the guide for all and everyone else to live theres buy.

yep thats the one had troble there on and off for a couple of years worst one was half a tree balanced across the fence and a tree at head height as you round the tree at the top come down to a small drop before it opens up wide. took the gravel rash ripped shorts better than no head. night ride Tuesday starting there were you cant see before you are in it every 20 feet or so. pointless mindless idiots. all the root balls from the locals raiding the compost heap to build the blocks were a bit of a give away. I cleared it as I came down as I had friends following me so they could have a clear run. but be aware in case they have been building again proceed with caution. I have reported it to oxford council but what they can do I dont know.

tips are showing and the trails are drying out a bit as well. be careful anyone doing the stonor fence desent locals have been blocking the desent every twenty feet with all sorts mate broke a collar bone the other week. have reported to the council. silly old sods must have taken the most of the day to build them half a tree in one place even built a stone wall backed with soil for support. shame a nice quick desent.

I built a hardtail a couple of years ago low budget for low maintenance reason. I now ride the hardtail 99% of the time which has developed into a full carbon GT which is a lovely bike to ride. I take the full suss out when it's bone dry. or when I go to wales and weekend trips away. I am even thinking of selling it on and sticking with the hardtail as I enjoy it so much. You can feel the trail rather thn blindly bouncing over it not having to pick lines or think about the ride. But it all depends on where you ride and the conditions. if you ride the lakes more often than not you can justify it I ride the chilts so no reason to have a bouncy rear end.

Leave it to them for now the sand destroys the bike when it's so wet. The chilterns If you know where to go are rideable netllebed russels water oxforshire way stonor all ok yes muddy but it is winter. but the mud does not make such a grinding paste. Runners on the labyrinth last year i nearly took them all out a militant group led by a crusty bike hater. yes I do ride both places.

Before they finishedthe m40 you used to drop onto sections of it then off again onto local roads. well i was travelling in the fast lane behind a couple of other cars when the all started pulling left rather fast into the middle lane. when the car in front did the same I was left facing why. An old couple in an escort was driving the wrong way down the motorway waving at everyone and thanking them for moving out of there way smiling.

Well done on fighting this. It is an ispiration as always reading you post's with the example of pure grit in fighting it all the way. Dont worry about other people you are tired and also depressed masked by the fight. it is easy for us on here to post as we dont have the face to face relationship your collegues and friends have. those face to face relationships cause other emotions to come in to play. As what the hell do you say to someone you know work with friends with that is going through what you are. LOst for words. keep the fight up rest when you can and keep positive.

    good luck

use the old pads to push apart sometimes all the fluid gets pushed through and the presure needs to be released if you undoe the top cap on the brake fluid reservoir push the pads back the put the top cap back on be careful not to push back to fast. and top if if required.

sorry about spelling errors for those that worry about that.
