chers kayak… yes some do have shape to them to give a flexible deck. like me i used to skate alot and now minivader is getting faster on his scooter i reckon its time for me to get some wheels!
i can make the former and do the lamminating but dont really want to buy a vaccuum bag (could i make one??) was thinking that a decent matched former with even clamping should do the trick…

yeah just the deck. was looking at layered maple and carbon but finding the maple is proving tricky…. have looked on google but i thought i would ask the hive mind as there is bound to be someone on here who has made one….

i built my own from old pallets and studding wood from wickes (cos it was cheeper than anything else) whole thing cost under 30 quid, holds 120 bottles of beer, 30 bottles of wine and most of my power tools…. probably took a couple of days to put together

according to mrs vader its about ten minutes!!! in reality its about 2-3 days. its now been 2 months off the mtb and only once on the road cos of a wrist injury…. Thanks the deity of your choice for turbo trainers :D

    another postie here…
we delivered a door to door item explaining all of the information regarding the new service. i’m guessing that it was another management idea tested out on a computer! there wasnt any conultation with us posties and as postierich pointed out it will be more work for us. think about it…. having to knock at your door for a parcle then walking up to another house and knocking, when they are not in having to then walk back write the card out and post it. on my delivery (which is a paired delivery working out of a van to over 1200 houses)that wouldnt be practical.
to all those having a moan….yes there are some crappy postmen out there but the majority of us are doing the job properly and are having to cope with increaingly large deliveris and an increaseing ammount of parcles

this is great, best vid i have seen in ages!!! i have finally got my son interested (he is also 4) in his bike. he has decided that he can wear my elbow pads as knee pads and this weekend we are taking his bike (sans cranks) to a local hill to learn to balance. this vid is really going to help with that so many thanks for posting it 8) 8)

I ache… I dont think so. I didnt need any ops or anything. I strapped it solidly for a couple of months and it fixed fine, I was really really lucky. just left me with some fairly bad nerve damage which calmed down after a couple of years. still get the occasional twinge tho. have ordered a turbo from merlin today. turnerguy I would LOVE to get one plus it would mean I use my swinley pass…. but I dont want that LOOK again from swmbo! where can I get me one tho….. just for research you understand

edit…. just researched them… I wouldnt get tho LOOK…. i would get the black eye! 8O

tbh i didnt think that i would be off the bike that long. and i guess that i figured maybe a couple of months. ah well. I ache… i feel your pain. did something similar a few years ago. fell over a tree root and broke my ankle 2 weeks before a helly hansen race. i thought it was a sprain so got an ankle support from darth vaders spares bin and ran the race…. 6 or 7 months later i finally go see a consultant who decided that i had broken it and that i shouldnt havedone any sport/work etc. he alsoi added that there wasnt anything he could now do and that all the pain was all nerve damage… which they couldnt really do anything about either. good luck with yours…. i can recomend bioskin supports if the nhs ones dont work.

yum yum yum!!! similar in texture to bass and IMHO a better! lends itself well to roasting whole, bbq, and all the usual cooking methods and sashimi too . my favorite is to scale (outside under a cloth… they go EVERYWHERE!) flour and fry and serve with a lemon butter drizle and steamed samphire, baby carrots and jersey royals… yes its simple but thats the beauty

    evening…
it was last thursday for me…. wet, 8 inch deep mud, stinging nettles from hell and brambles from the same post code, slippery and generally shitty. to top it all I fell of doing something stupid and now have a broken wrist putting me off the bike for weeks.

    chers liftman
dawson, what kind of battery life are you getting and do you think the 1600 lumen one would be worth the extra 25 quid?

a couple of years ago I went from a stumpy fsr to a chameleon and it helped me get my riding back on track…. was far too lazy and finding the stuff I rode boring. i’d say go for it but if you can, keep the heckler for fun and bigger stuff. the likes of a chameleon will cope easily with anything you throw at it but itd be nice to have that bounce avaliable too….

I do agree with yunki. I only own a 3oz cast bass rod now. however the rod in the link was mostly for the travel aspect, I have a friend who uses something similar for traveling with…. there are (i think) lighter rods of a similar style avaliable.

there is a load to choose from but something like this would be perfect, then find a reel that would suit you. i would recomend fixed spool if you havnt fished with a multiplier. plus they are easier to maintain (wash with fresh water, spary inners with wd40, allow to dry, put away… worked for mine!) hth
