Last thing was the oven, fixed the pressure switch on the door and replaced the fan motor. Prior to that was a heating pipe that I slightly drilled into 😇

I looked at making it into a flat bar, but to keep the same spec etc was cost prohibitive… so selling up and a new set of wheels for the Stanton seems the best idea

    I’ve put me slippers on!
i did get the cotic but due to illness and injury and looking after the kids full time its only been off road twice and done about 100 miles. she’s now up for sale in the classifieds. after about 20 minutes i’m in too much pain riding thanks to a long term boogared wrist. so im back to the mountain bikes when i can

@kerley I’m up in north Hampshire, most of which is chalk and clay based so unfortunately mostly unridable

I guess it depends what your general riding is like, here it’s mostly non technical bridleways etc, if I’d have been somewhere a bit rockier or hillier then I’d have stayed with my mountain bikes…. that said I could have easily been on the kayak for the school run!

Yeah, I ended up with the cotic escapade…. and I love it, though down in Hampshire we actually need a snorkel to ride anywhere at the moment!

Spec wise I’m happy with 1x and 105/SRAM equivalents

My priority is something to ride on and off-road, comfortably that isn’t one of my mountain bikes. Bike packing etc etc….

@wobbliscott it’s what they recommend, Tho they can spec other wheels. Just thought I’d ask on here to see what the hive mind think

@willstaffs I am getting hold of a demo on the carbon Topstone, my only concern is my 16.5st against those tiiiiiny stays!

I’ve got an Orbea hybrid and don’t much like it tbh… the new cubes look alright. They’re a bit racer for my tastes though, which is the issue I’m coming up against with the Cannondale. Aghhhhh! Too much choice! 😭

I’m torn between the giant advanced and Cannondale Topstone Carbon or the cotic and Bombtrack. all around the 2k mark. I just don’t know what I really want atm, something for speed and hooning or for comfort and bike packing!

That’s the closest you come to inweights tho. My buddy that works in the bike shop actually suggested the Ali and upgrade the wheels. In the UK the revolt advanced 2 and revolt 0 are the same group set but don’t seem available in Germany!

I’ve been looking at the giant bikes too… the weights are on the German site! The revolt 0 is 10.3kg in medium, the revolt advanced is 9.1 kg

i have had insoles made before by the NHS…. they really hurt my feet, maybe i should go to a proper chiropodist and pay for some to be made

It is looking like a set of high leg hunting/field boot like meindel are going to be of more use to me…

I have tried all sorts of insoles etc… I need the waterproofing as the banks of the relief Chanel on my section of river I tend to fish, break with regularity…. I do use walking boots and gaiters the majority of the time, but need something more for the winter months….

@poopscoop yeah it’s still a welly tho… I need some decent support thanks to flat feet and plantar fasciitis! The joys!
