I don’t think there’s much like this on the market anymore. Softshells exist but few (none I have found) with a non-windproof back. I found a running one that does me well from puma for £60 odd.

I had thought they were meant ot be reasonably accurate – measures conductivity or something?

It wouldn’t surprise me if someone who is “carrying some extra weight around my waist” was 32%. I was 15% at last measure and am pretty slim.

I’ve had an 03 Heckler and now an 07 Nomad, and an 03 Superlight.

IMO the Heckler can be built up for all day rides and mucking around on jumps/playing at light DH etc. The Nomad “should” be built up a bit burlier and is still well pedallable but it is gonna be more hard work on an all dayer etc – so beware if you are not fit enough. I find the Superlight fleexy adn I’m not sure I think that short travel makes sense – I don’t know if the blur might feel similar.

All I am saying it that they are different bikes and you should work out what type of bike you want compared to your existing bike, riding, fitness etc.

Try a few in the mags. like any insurance, depends on the risk, so you have to shop around. May be worth a go on confused.com.

You are welcome to pick mine up (older model), I have no idea what it weighs though I weighed the frame and shock at 2.5kg IIRC.

FWIW I ride 130mm and it does wander/wheelie on climbs, I guess I should work out how to shorten the fork travel and see how that works out. The Heckler it replaced was longer and steeper (with the same fork).

Firstly it’s not the freehub as I’ve tried this with two different wheels.

I don’t see how it can be anything other than the freehubs/hubs – are the two you tried the same or similar types?
