I find it very frustrating that I order items that the website say are in stock, only for the parcel to turn up and find the item is not in the box.

Make a call, oh sorry, we should have said its out of stock.

    Other than that, fine.

[/quote]If you're world champion you have to wear that jersey and not your team sponsor's jersey.

BigJohn, I don't understand your point. Any team would love to have a world champ and or national champ kit as it raises the profile of the team. The world champ jersey will be incorporated into the trade team kit.

    From the website:
    10.00 – 17.30 (GMT) Monday to Friday
Phone Lines closed Saturday and Sunday

Doesn't help I know, but they wont be answering the phone today

Interesting, I never really rated DC as a driver, but always felt Button has something special

I know nothing about Oasis but wonder if this is just publicity for a new or greatest hits album…

I always used to get the yellow pages and ring lots of companies, a bit old fashioned but worked for me.

I would report it, Ring the rights of way officer at your local County council in the morning, I would also report it to the local police

Glad you are okay and hope no one else gets hurt

    Bit of light reading:
    http://www.cyclemetrics.com/Pages/Docs/6-BikeFitting/LemondSystem/fit_formulas.htm

There is a webiste around somewhere for fitting based on measurements, but I can't find it at the moment.

Can either the single speed or the geared take full mudgaurds?

    cyclistm

    Fail,
it should be in the biggest gear when taking photos.

    Nice though.

Why are you apologising for asking a question relevant to the forum?

Agree with the above, you have to try them on. I find the fit changes against different models even for the same size/manufacturer.

Depends on how much contact I have had with them and whether there is any chance of it all getting sorted.

I agree, not a lot of mud but the chalk could be slippery if its wet.

Would say a bit more than finger tight but you should not be hanging off the end of the spanner.

Good luck to those on the L-E-L, mental the lot of them.

    Mick, stunning looking bike.

trail_rat, I am sure your comment was tongue in cheek but I find audax's are really friendly and one of the most approachable aspects of our sport.

I am happy to have them popping out stages and sitting nicely at the top of the GC with some 'attitude' towards the media.

Chapeau to all the GB riders at Le Tour.

crazy-legs, what spokes are you using on your combination? Is it a road or mountain bike hub you use?

    Thanks

Pretty sure they must get bored to death answering the same questions day in day out when they have just stepped off the bike after a hard day.

I never touch them to be honest, the one part of bike maintenance I dont touch, but if they go out of true they are returned for a tweak.

    I weigh 12 1/2 stone.

These wheels dont really get abused as not for commuting just for best.

Considering Wiggo and Cav have both been through the performance plan the media training provided by British Cycling could do with a bit of a review.

Having said that, Cav has been much more eloquent this year – you know.

Forgot to say, the hope/open pro combo was built by a very good local wheelbuilder.

How rude, I am disgusted by your response….my legs are smooth.

I could be riding like a gibbon, but what confuses me is that I previouly had a set of ksyriums SSC SLs which were perfect and I rode on a 28hole open pro rim all winter with no problems.

Current wheels causing concern are hope road hub, mavic open pro and 32 spokes, this is used on a much stiffer road 'race' bike but I don't think that is the problem, probably just the combination of hub and spokes?

Wiggo said that after he heard he got the 15 secs back.

bigyinn – I know mavic x517 was the 231 replacement. Beyond that, I have no idea.

Rear mech length should depend on your gear range, eg between smallest and largest gear. A road bike has a fairly short range so a short cage rear mech is used, theory is that shifting will be quicker, but I am to be convinced. Some trials and downhill riders use short cage road mechs as they also use smaller ranges, presumably use road mechs for shift performance and light weight.

Longer mechs used where wide range of gears to use up the chain slack across the range.

Flicking a trip switch is about as far as I will be going with it.

    Thanks all
