For anyone that maybe interested, a set of cones from a standard Weldtite replacement axle fitted fine (10.0 x 175mm Chrome Moly Axle.)

However, I did have to use an assortment of washers to get the width right.

cheers guys, have e-mailed SBC, but nothing yet.

I think it's new wheel time – so frustrating (and expensive)

Maybe contact the starter of this thread – he may have more contact details if he bought the on-one.

    Hope it gets sorted

Good on your neighbour for confronting them, they could have been nicking anything.

yeah, they are very good. mate bought one couple years ago and it has been faultless and a real bargain. Keep trying to buy it off him, but he's not budging.

Cool, Steyning probably about right then, have a google and see what you find. Think it was a pub with B&B if that makes sense.

For starters the SDW doesn't go through Lewes, though I accept it is pretty close but not within a mile.

There have been some recommendations on here for a B&B pub in Steyning, which is pretty close to the route – maybe try a search?

I have the Grand Prix 24's on my race bike and they are really nice, nothing like the Gatorskins. not sure how robust they will be though as I have barely ridden it

    cyclistm

I am a huge conti fan and have them on all my bikes, with the exception of my commuter, which until recently had Gatorskins on.

I didn't really like the new Gatorskins, so tried the Bontrager hard care tyre and really like it, grippier than the gatorskins and tougher. Probably a bit heavier, but good value.

And yes I realise this doesn't feature in your original shortlist, but as my shortlist (which got longer) was the same as yours I thought it relevant.

Talkemada – If Plant were the only person capable of saving the planet, what would the benefit of going to the local police station?

Expect the next thread from Plant to be:

Good luck, hust to mention as I don't think it has been said yet, to enter an 'open' time trial you need to be a member of a CTT affiliated cycling club.
entry form can be found on the CTT handbook.

A quick google provides some varying reviews on those.
    Anyone any views?
    Any others to consider?

You would be best off talking to your family liaison officer assuming they have allocated one? If not, speak to the police direct.

This is probably not the best place to ask.

Could well be a civil claim though.

    Jamie,

Depends how hard he is running, if steady I agree but if hard then I think a protein drink would help recovery

    carbon337
    I have used this:
    http://www.muscleform.co.uk/Store/Protein-Sources/AVI$9PRO-94-Whey-Protein-Isolate
After racing and it boosted my recovery for certain, I didn't suffer from bulking up, though if your objective is to lose weight you are probably better off with lots of fresh fruit and veg.

The grumpiness is an odd one and I get this from time to time, I would probably speak toy your doc about this, could be low blood count or similar.

DezB, have you checked for trojans?

http://www.microsoft.com/security/malwareremove/default.aspx (I think you need to run this in Explorer)

Mine did similar the other week, it had a trojan.

I would suggest giving the police contact details of their payroll dept (I am assuming they are a carer or similar) they will release the info with the right authorisation.

Both excellent achievments, but world champs is not equal to an olympic championship (albeit a winter one) in my eyes at least

I use a yellow pages to lift the front wheel up.

I wouldn't buy a new turbo to be honest – stick a wanted ad on here and see what turns up. A lot of people buy them use em once an never use em again. There is a reason for this.

Get a spare rear wheel and stick a slick on it.

Otherwise, it is rim drive and I reckon they would wear down your rims.

scary – I too would give out my address to someone for a viewing.
