Our club does an ‘Athletes 10’ every year I rode back to back 10’s and found that the tt bike (disc, deep section, skinsuit and aero helmet) was 90secs quicker than a road bike over a fairly lumpy 10 miles, standard wheels, standard jersey, standard helmet etc.

Obv depends on the rider and there will be some slippage due to riding back to back 10’s

I tried a freezer bag, but it split, was thinking something a little tougher.

I don’t think Perez lost it on purpose – the message was too cryptic if it was an instruction to not pass Alonso. I doubt they would have thought they would be in a position to be racing for the lead against a Ferrari this year. I reckon Perez would have raced the wheels off that Sauber right to the line

You are overthinking it a bit.

Plug the charger into the battery, if the led is green its done. If its red it needs charging.

    Enjoy

I like the look of that.

Whats the problem with the BB5? They work well in mtb guise for me

take wheel out and push the pads back in, might free the pistons. Use a plastic tyre lever or similar

njee – can you fit 700 wheels on a whippet?

£500 will get a pretty reasonable road bike. Certainly something quicker than a mtb with slicks on

Specialized have been crossing over gear cables for a few years. Dunno if they still do.

I was rather hoping you would say one of the Gore jerseys in the probikekit sale would fit the bill.

Looks like I’ll have to repair my current jersey

Is the email address you haven’t used for years linked to your paypal account by any chance?

I doubt it. Best bet to find out is to look at the shimano techdocs for both hubs and see if the code for the freehub is the same.

    http://techdocs.shimano.com/techdocs/index.jsp

IME road freehubs are not as well sealed as MTB hubs. But if they are the same model number, chances are there is no differences.

yeah, wind has been pretty tough if you’re going the wrong way.

A bit slippery and pretty claggy over my way.

I don’t and it drives me mad when people do.

Not as bad as people that stop/drop off facing traffic (on busy roads) at night with their lights on. Its dazzling.

    Ferry can be cheaper.
Some people dont like the idea of going in a tunnel.
The big thing is a ferry is more relaxed, if you’ve been driving for a while its the best opportunity to relax and have something to eat/drink

    Tunnel for me though.
