Cyclocross is ideal. Or a second road bike.

Do you commute daily? If so, the money you save should more than pay for a second bike

Amazed how many joysticks wiggle have. At least 5 of my club mates have ordered one, plus you lot, I expected very limited stock

Smicir, I would mate it with a smudge light for the bars, but will be fine on its own

whip the axle out and pop some grease in the pedal, do the axle back up.

    done

you might need to nip the bolt up a bit.

No experience of the 959 but other pedals I have serviced are a pain due to tiny bits.

Further update, I took the bearing out, it just popped off the race, replaced with a bearing the same spec and all went straight back in again.
    Dead easy

I found it useful if you have power for all your rides as it works very cleverly, but as I only put less than 1/2 of my rides on it wasn’t realy worth the extra.

I found the software that came free with the power tap to be more than adequate.

Just to update this thread in case anyone googles looking for an answer. I contacted Balfa and they confirmed the bearings are not replaceable, a new headset is required.

Deore hub I bought was rough as houses. Fine once I stripped and greased though.

Blimey, good luck. It will be a tough ride at the moment, watch the chalky bits, they are slippy.
