but if I don’t pull the velcro tight the battery will swing about and drive me mad.

I think I might be overthinking this problem.

The 1998 M2 Stumpjumper in mango must have been a good year. Mines still going strong too. I only wish it had a disc brake adapter.
Pics to follow if I can work out how.

I wouldn’t want the motorcyclists personal details doing the rounds, but if think the police would do well to pop round and “stick him on” or at least have a little word

I just google images cracked anthem frame. I wouldn’t be riding that in a hurry to be honest. Not sure about a repair, sorry

You bought a frame that had already been replaced under warranty? Where from?

Never seen one slip round. I’ve had one fall off before.

I’d check the splines carefully and if undamaged Id ride them

I think you’ll need a mavic spacer too but I’m not 100% on that without trying it

It’s an M11 freehub which according to the above link is 10 speed compatible with a spacer. I don’t know if it’s the same spacer you already have though.

In summary, the old ones are great, the new ones are woeful, all I need is a time machine 🙂

I had one lasted for 3-4 years in very regular use before it died. I bought a new one, same model and its barely lasted 6 months.

Seems to be a bit hit and miss

Not tried them, but like you I prefer bibs with baggies. Seem like a good idea

I’ve ridden both over the same route. The pro 6 is great but the Ti tripster just floats where the pro 6 was knocking me about a bit.

I bought a Pro 6 in the end, simply because I couldn’t afford the tripster,

I REALLY wish I bought the tripster

My commute is done on a V brake CX bike.

I find Smart Sams to be a great compromise that allows me to ride on the South Downs when its dry and the road when its not.

When there is a period of wet weather or in the winter I tend to avoid the off road commute and pop some wide road tyres on and stick to the road.

That’s odd. Is the one you removed original?

Is it square taper? If so, buy the right size.

Wouldn’t you be pooing through the letter box of the house your buying? That makes no sense

Plenty of opportunity to resolve. Plenty of excuses why it hasn’t been resolved.

There has been regular contact, which makes me think these excuses may be genuine, but it all started in December and I have run out of patience.

If there is a problem you probably need some washers, google AVID CPS.

Slightly off topic, is there an SP41 equivalent for brake cable outer?

I’ve never mounted v brakes other than in the middle hole. I think the other holes were more useful for cantis

    Shorter pads will be fine

Re-Cycle in Colchester had some boardman frames in last week including the CX. Brand new which they were selling at a very good price.

You have loads of good contacts up there. I’d start by getting on twitter and seeing if any of those mentioned above will help.

Contacts for sky can be found on the website etc.

Good luck, hope you get sorted
