as a dealer the attraction of a buying group is a very interesting but unfortunately its only worked in few small instances…partly because we all have very different views and no-one in the trade seems to agree…

ive never been rude to a customer like the op experienced but the constant price match coversation can be a bit wearing.we do it but within parameters of making something.the bottom line is that the majority of you guys who read this are not the ones lbs should be targeting as your competent with tools/kit

That does happen…I fell out with my insurance broker cos his son sucked my oxygen then told me smugly 2weeks later he bought a bike online…numpty!

bikes.things are pretty tough and have been for over a year…crc and theyre pals dont help,cyclescheme eats 17% of your margin,theyres complete oversupply of brands each wanting a slice of a diminishing market…i cant see where the growth is coming from.in 8 years of having a shop this has been our worst for mtb sales…

maybe working for someone would be less stressful!

I ride a sabbath alp and it’s very responsive…I use a September for winter duties and it’s a little softer.we’ve sold sabbaths for over 3 years now and the guys that buy them love em…try one out over a normAl road route and be converted!

were actually having a holiday in majorca but the ferry is only a couple of hours so i thought id treat the missus on her birthday…shes likes clubbing so thought meal/bar/club…

lbs here that sells oranges and has done for 4 years now…..not had one frame failure.if weve ever had any issues theyve always been very good about it and helped us with the customer…i can count on one hand how many problems weve had though and its usually been component issues..

did the op speak to orange about this before making his feelings felt on here?

The good staff aren’t poor as I look after them but they’re is a break even point where the wage can’t go any higher…(unless they sell as many bikes as me!)

i used to work for felt in the uk,when they first came in we took the cruisers….they totally bombed despite being uber cool….only sold em in brighton.i bet theyres still some left in the odd shop now…theyre quite big in germany.if you defo want one give me a shout and ill see if i can help…
