they'll stay in business by not stocking chris king as you can get pretty much any of it off ebay at what i would pay for it and charging for fitting it…..

why do you all expect a discount in a bike shop? whats different with other shops where you wouldnt ask? do you ask in a hifi shop? a pet shop?

a lbs is a business at the end of the day…ive yet to see crc, merlin or wiggle fit anything!

handmade in the uk,stiff as, if you get the maxle upgrade, ive yet to see one break in 3 years of selling them,i love em….mine has different tyres (vredsteins) and cobalts on it which makes it handle really well…

we sell hardly any s's because once you put a couple of upgrades on it,punters will go for the pro..

the frame was also the last one sourced from the uk importer in that size(a cervelo) and ive got the serial number.adverts also match up

well that fair cheered me up! thanks for the appreciative words from mike and dave!

some of the attitudes to discounting are very interesting…..it does seem some folk will never give the lbs a chance! i had a interesting chat with a customer the other day where i was getting sick of his constant requests for a discount…i had to remind him that crc/wiggle didnt really offer what i do and that unless he understood what we're trying to do we mite not be in a position to help him out in the future….he apologised and paid a fair price for the work on his bike..

the internet shops dont bother me but it would be a sad state of affairs if more lbs shut due to them, theyre does seem a lot of guys have strong loyalty to theyre respective shops and good experiences…

id second what was said about square wheels, great shop and great guys!

    cycleworlduk

we sell very few five s's due to the reasons above….people will upgrade to the point where its better/cost effective to just get a pro….better wheels/xt etc..

but if you cant stretch that far then go for the s as its still the best frame and shock package you can get….

    give me a call,we;ve had a quiet week! i'll do you a deal! 😉

i use upg for all the transactions online….but ill be speaking to them on monday about security…all the cards had passed both checks av2 and cvs…

bit miffed with the courier as they should deliver to an address and not someone in the street which im assuming they did on this occasion…..but ill just have to take it as a very expensive lesson on all fronts i spose…ill have a busy monday morning!

were a dealer newly signed up,im expecting some bikes before xmas(late october for some of them)….some demo bikes are coming in for my inpending club night as well….

we have a lot of forward interest so far, they look quite quirky which i like.designed by an ex ktm designer who was approached by the largest bike accesory supplier in spain and along with fabian barel came up with this range

look at a couple of recent posts about this but try and get your ass down to the london cycle show because a lot of the movers/shakers/reps will be there and you can look at everything including all the niche stuff you can shake a stick at….

get a unit and reps will come! all the suppliers have fairly rigid rules about web only business's cos theres a lot of garage/bedroom so called web shops that damage there rep and job kit out…and if they do supply you be prepared for the local dealers to moan and kick off…..

i was merrily driving back with a mate after hed done up the straps on my thule roof carrier….we were chatting away and his bike casually rolled off the roof, landed on its wheels and catapulted very dramatically into the nearby field where it performed all sorts of manouvres! i expected all sorts of damage but all hed bent was one saddle rail…..and learnt a lesson in doing up the straps on the roof rack

great piccys! i was there at the scottish stage on monday and got to ride in the sram neutral service providers car….i had a very similar experience to yourself..its definitely the way to watch a road race! highlights included going thru innnerleithen at 80mph on the wrong side of the road, watching the break was very cool and chatting to bradley wiggins briefly at the end…..

i love having a bikeshop sometimes! it gets you some great experiences..
