we call customers all the time and regularly the numbers are wrong,mobiles not charged/in signal/no ansa message service…we leave countless messages with machines/people/relatives/staff and no one gets back to us….i have a repair that is 8 months old and we call the guy on the 2 numbers provided twice weekly to pick up his bike but to no avail…3 or 4 contact details doesnt seem to be enough for some folk..it works both ways…also op theyre is a huge amount of “fishing” calls/emails…it does work both ways..

if i was keen on buying someat that id been covetting a while and was interested in it…id keep calling to get it and not be hung up on wether they called me or not….but im maybe just very tolerant… 😆

always been a bug bear of mine….i always try and call people back as i know how much it frustrates me when they dont call backits a basic service indicator.but that said alot of the points above are true..ive got staff who mistake nos/paper goes missing…or you just get folk in front of you all day…thats why emails are good.

has anyone ever been called back buy crc or wiggle? 🙄

im resigned to the fact that most of the folk on here are very switched onto online purchasing…if someone wants my help in the shop and theyre genuine ill give it but we do get an increasing number of customers who take the p*ss…like the chap who moaned i didnt have a barcode on an item so he could pricematch it on his iphone…i didnt have the speed of wit to reply with something sharp and cutting unfortunately as i was pretty shocked…

certain things we dont sell at all and we used to sell loads of…full face lids/pads/certain types of clothing i reckon has all gone to the online folk…so ill re-align what i stock and see if we can offer a great service/selection of kit to entice folk into a purchase… 😆

shes speaking to the physio fairly regularly and has just stayed on cocodamol and paracetemol for the moment…the aircast sling is here and when the tenderness has gone she should be able to wear it…

yep we mentioned it in the hospital…the service was really good actually.she ended up being checked over by the senior trauma doctor(i think he heard “girl hit by bus”)

fracture clinic in the morning…cid officers at reception chatting casually about a local who just had his spleen removed after being stabbed..hed had a worse day! i love dundee!

im going with her tomoro to see the orthopeadic specialist so ill ask some more questions…is brufen bad then?

shes a road racer…hates mtb,turbo and rollers at home…scottish coach will be told today and hopefully her promised physio will kick in earlier…

they only pin/plate complete fractures..this is just a break on one side..shes got cocodamol and paracetemol and brufen at the mo…she rides with a BC membership so i think that gives some liability cover…gonna call today.thanks all!! 😆

any orange platinum dealer has access to all the demo bikes that orange run….book a 16 and see how she does on it…

i think until peoples attitudes change i think the high st will always struggle…ive been on a quiet in house crusade this year to not use the supermarkets and buy as much as i can from humans in shops…not spent any more money but the quality of service/goods has gone right up…i eat better meat/fish now,vegs are loads better etc.bought a telly and a washing machine off a local good independant,he fitted them both for free and did me a wee deal on the telly.all done within a week of ordering..kinda like the service i try and offer customers.

next year a lot of the brands that ill run in the shop will be lbs only brands if i can…if its in crc merlin wiggle ill look at doing something else

theyres far too much at the mo of this….its rife in scotland at the moment

ive got a bikeshop for sale if your determined! ive been in the trade for years.worked for bike shops,then suppliers(earned more money and rode more) then bought out a retiring customer who was selling up.i would sum it up as being great for six years and pretty tough for 2. :Dnow thinking about other things to do….
