Neil Young is the best. He always brings back good memories of when my parents first split up and I would stay with my dad. He would blast out Harvest or After the Goldrush to try and wake me up. Never worked as I would stay in bed and listen to the whole album.
As mentioned above, start with 70’s. The obvious ones Harvest and Goldrush. My favourite albums are the ones that were slagged off on release-Tonights the Night, Times Fades Away and On the Beach(my wife got me a vinyl copy for my 30th)

Any room in this cave? I’m a good cook and can help build the bike shed 😀
We have patches where I shake my head and wonder what goes on in her head. But 90% of the time she is the greatest. Luckily we are going through a great patch.

As mentioned above, The Lahore is very good. Walk past all the tourist places right to the end of Brick Lane. Its not a long walk and the food is great and cheap!
At the other end of Brick Lane is the Beigel shop is legendary.
On the other side of Bethnal Green Rd there is Leila’s and the Boundry Cafe.

Also working my way through the Sopranos boxset.

Rats, that picture is amazing! I lived right by those falls for a year. Absolutely loved it. I didn’t have time to do any riding, but several of my mates rode on the local footpaths. Not sure if it was legal or not.

Homemade Peri Peri chicken in the oven, with chips and coleslaw.
Fire in the lounge and we are setting the goal of watching a whole season of the Sopranos(boxset bought in the sales)

Perhaps a more constructive alternative than “nuking” Iran(and Saudi etc) would be to reduce our dependence on oil, which would eliminate/reduce above countries hold on our economies.
I do agree on America/UK need to wind our necks in.

Yetim, try Stichelton. Like Stilton but made with unpasturized milk. Very nice and a bit tastier than Stilton.

What about that cheese in Sicily(I think) that has maggots in it?
    I agree with Mr Overshoot

Well done mate! Nice to see your true attitudes are being exposed. Maybe we should get foreign labour banned and then there won’t be anymore thefts?

Stinking Bishop strong enough? Or some blue cheeses can be quite strong ie Stilton,Stichelton,Cashel Blue etc.

Tony: I am not a keyboard warrior, I can handle myself very well in real life. I initially had sympathy with you for having your tools stolen but this has evaporated with your attitude. I can not abide by casual racism/xenophobia.
As regards to leaving tools in your van, would you leave your bikes in it?
PMK2060: thanks for asking, but no I wasn’t bullied. The point I was making was that I thought it a bit ironic that OP was slagging off foreigners when he was making loads of mistakes.

Who is “them”? Have you never seen an English/Welsh/Scots/Irish person stealing, spitting, smashing stuff up? Or do only “them” do this?

Well put Ernie! Finally somebody speaking some sense! OP needs to get over his borderline racism and not blaming foreigners before getting his facts straight. It might have been somebody from Slough or somebody from Poland, who cares? The nationality of the thief is not the issue.

This stuff is priceless! Original poster complains about getting tools nicked and gets loads of sympathy, then proceeds to blame it on foreign workers. All very ironic considering the poster seems to have the spelling and grammar of mentioned “foreign” workers!

New Zealand and Ritchie McCaw? I wouldn’t exactly call it blatant cheating(Mrs Curtis is sitting next to me) but they are masters at playing the game to the limits. Nothing wrong with that IMO.

grow up ffs. bad behaviour is inexcusable in any aspect of life, never mind just sport, and particularly not in one discipline compared to another.

I didn’t actually blame his behaviour on his ex-league history. I was simply stating that perhaps this sort of behaviour seems to be tolerated or even encouraged in this country and Australia. Just read the headlines over the years of league players who seem to get themselves into trouble with drink, drugs, gambling, spousal abuse etc etc.

He is one of the biggest tits(one of many on the current England team) Needs to grow up and learn how to act like a man. Typical story, has a few ok games and then thinks he is a superstar! Or go back to league where this sort of behavior seems to be tolerated.

Sorry to hear that TJ. But now is the time to get a job that you enjoy. Life is too short to work yourself to death!

Crispy Pork Belly with plum sauce, sushi rice and steamed kale. With Banoffi pie for pud. According to my mobile phone I burned over 3000 calories on todays ride. Extra pie for me then haha!

Just watched it. Brilliant. Really brought back loads of memories. Made me realise how easy kids have it now with internet. I would literally spend months tracking down rare and obscure records. And then save like mad to get them. It was very touching how Mike Watt and D Boon were such good mates. Apparently, Mike Watt was going to quit after D Boon died and it was only Kira(Black Flag bassist and future wife) that convinced him to carry on.

I love Kleins. I wish they still made them. Something about those big chunky tubesets…wanders off to check ebay.

This one is going to be interesting. TBH I think it is quite wide open. As much as I would like to see England win, I don’t think there is the same buzz that happened in 2003. Can’t rule them out though. My second team(Mrs Curtis is a Kiwi) NZ has a huge weight of expectations on them. From what I have read, NZ rugby really needs this boost as viewing figures are down. You can never rule out SA or the Aussies. It would be great if the Argies could improve on their last World Cup but I can’t see this happening. Exciting times!

I’ll second that!!! The Minutemen were/are one of my all time favourite bands. The fact that they introduced so many different influences within their music(jazz, funk, country etc) and were not afraid to veer from the harder/faster ethos of the hardcore scene.

Very sad. I feel gutted. Her dad was always on the Robert Elms show and always seemed so proud. I remember the time the two of them did the Listed Londoner segment together.
To the people out there who are saying mean things about her, shame on you! She was somebody’s daughter. Have a little respect for a lost human life!
And the dead in Norway are not in the same league. That is utterly terrible. RIP

One word: OIL. The west doesn’t give a toss about countries that don’t have it…The Congo, Rwanda, Haiti etc etc etc.
