Very surprised to hear they don’t offer it in this country. Back home we used to have “pox parties” where you’d take your kids round to the house of a kid who’d contracted it. Theory being better to catch it young.

Some adults did get it twice. They suffered pretty badly.

Which team can he go to that is looking for a GT contender? Probably not good form for him to bad mouth his current team without knowing someone else is coming in for him.

This isn’t football where he can do a “Tevez” is it?

Anyone succeed in finding one, or have we stumbled on a niche in the marketplace?

No, it’s a general lack of loudness consistent with all the programs through the Sky box so it sounds like it’s the source, not the receiver. I spent some time rewiring the banana plugs, and checking the speakers, but that seems ok too.

Connection is over HDMI, so Sky–>Receiver, no fancy business.

Maybe I just have high expectations.

So confused. Did his teammates dope while riding the tour(s) he won? If they did then it taints his victories I reckon.

    Like someone else was saying:
Step 1. Dope everyone else on your team up to the gills.
Step 2. Get delivered to the line while they mash everyone else.
    Step 3. Profit!

I agree Nibali rode some great stages in the tour, but it’s sad if this happened with or without him knowing. I’d like to give him the benefit of the doubt, but there should still be an asterisk against his name in the champions’ roster.

EDIT: Can’t find anything stating his teammates doped in the tours he won.

It sounds pretty good, I just worry about how much I need to turn it up sometimes!

It’s setup in stereo mode. There’s a picture guide the receiver takes you through and everything!

    @Cougar

My poor brain is melting trying to figure out if more speakers means more clarity when watching movies, which in turn means not having to turn the power up as much!

I worry a bit because depending on the audio source I have to turn the receiver up to -25db (Sky is usually the culprit). I know it probably doesn’t matter, but I’ve had experiences in the past where I’ve knocked out amps due to being overzealous with the volume!

    @gofasterstripes
It seems to depend hugely on the source. For example, Spotify gives me pretty good sound at low power levels. Same for CDs. I guess you can’t fix poor audio sources. I wonder if it’s just me though? Cheers for the sub recommend. I’ll keep an eye out for one of those. May add a centre if it’s the cheaper option for now.

    They are this big:
    350 x 185 x 255 mm

Monitor Audio BX2s. Does that help?

Understand what you’re saying about making the sound fuller. I’m just looking to see what would allow me to not have to turn the sound up so high when I’m watching TV and movies. Perhaps I’d be better served getting a centre, instead of a sub?

Sorry for not being clear. Say I had to turn the volume up to -30db with two speakers, would adding a sub mean I’d only have to go to -40 because the load would be spread across the speakers and the sub instead of just the speakers?

Slight hijack. I have an AV receiver with 2 speakers in Stereo mode. Will adding a subwoofer mean I’ll not need to turn the power level to the left and right speakers up as much compared to just using 2 speakers?

26 Shan is an incredible bike. Really composed, very forgiving and not a bad price for a steel hardtail. Also quite versatile if you want to change axle lengths or run it SS.

I’ve only ever ruined one set of cup and cone hubs, but the faff of servicing it was enough to put me off ever buying one again.

Having said that, I’ve got Shimano wheels on the road bike and they’ve been great. I have also not serviced them in 5 years.

Thanks for sharing. I’ve always ridden this as a climb, thinking it was an unfinished bit of the “Freeride” area they keep threatening! Nice riding as well by the way.

I think it can ride lighter that its weight, sure. Loads of variables like the article said.

Plus when do you want it to “ride light”? On the way up? On a steep or gradual climb? A straight line descent? A techy descent?

I am a lightweight. In my experience of borrowed and rented bikes, anything over 14kg starts to feel a bit heavy. More to do with the amount of power I can generate than the bike’s weight I reckon. Most recent example was a DH bike I rented for an uplift day. As long as there was zero pedalling I was ok. I’d rather have had less travel and a lighter bike because sometimes you need to pedal up to speed to hit the right lines.

    – Conditions are very good. I went on Sunday. It holds up very well, but there are some detours on the Blue at the moment.
    – The Red starts half-way-ish through the Blue. You have the option of riding it (it’s a loop back to the Blue), or carrying on with the Blue. You would ride it as a Blue-Red-Blue (also called a Purple Lap).
    – Yup, about 22km sounds about right.

I’m thinking about doing this too, but having never fitted a BB I do not know where the spacer is. Do I need to remove the BB cups to get at it?

Argentinian steak restaurant for my UK team this year. Presents and bonus cheques for them all should keep them happy. Then steak and red wine.

    Gaucho?

I worked for a company that had a massive lad culture. Even they kept bonuses to a sober one to one conversation at breakfast. Good to know there are some places where people trust their employees enough to take them on the piss and trust them to openly discuss their bonuses and whatnot!

Used TransferWise and set the rate I’d accept at 1.26 Euro to GBP. The link bitasuite posted gave me a free transfer as well, so let’s see how this goes.

Nukeproof Scout if you can find it in stock somewhere.

Or a Slackline 631. Depends on your budget really. For mega cheap look at an old Summer Season (around £75-120 2nd hand). May struggle finding forks unless you’re ok with second hand.
