Good film but the Tarantino scenes were poor and somewhat out of place and overall for me the film was at least 40 mins to long and dragged a bit.

    This:

    Plus one for Fell Running

Massive amount of freedom as to where is good to run compared to a bike. I suspect the running naysayers are just rubbish at running.

A great addition to add to your hobbies. Only run on the roads as a last resort though, xc/trail/fell-mountain is the way to go.A great addition to add to your hobbies.

Cheers. Would be a rigid fork. I’m guessing the 700x35c will squeeze under a 26 rigid.

I find Cox annoying and trying too hard. DA just has natural talent and doesn’t need to try.

This. The voice of Cox also sends me to sleep.

I demo’d one (a fatty) in November last year and was actually surpirsed at how good it was on single track. The grip over wet roots was noticeably better than a ‘skinny’. But there is no doubt it was draggier.

What size gryphon is everyone riding? I’m just under 5 11 with a 32 inside leg and ride a medium swift but the gryphon geometry confuses me a bit.

Cleared ours right down to the paving slabs. The snow then melted on to making this are wet and this froze over night and it was like a skating rink in the morning with fresh snow now settling on top. It is safer to walk on the uncleared snow.

I’ve just started running after about 20 years of not doing it. I use the term ‘running’ very loosely. Shins are not enjoying it but the knees are ok. I am at the run a bit wlak a bit stage but will get better (hopefully). I’m sticking to grass and the woods and don’t plan any pavement pounding.

Had 2 done, as per usual I pretty much nodded off at the dentist. Felt the occasional small nip but really was fine.

Tesco are taking HMV vouchers now – Horse Meat Vouchers 🙂

Man walks in to a burger joint and orders a burger
When asked if he would like to put anything on it he says
    Yes, £5 each way

Apparently a poll into consumer reaction to the horse meat saga is being conducted by Gallop.

Bike bag (3 bags and counting) and wildcat are both ace. Can’t rate bike bag highly enough and very good value as well as well made.

High St is changing. Big retail has gone to the Internet. High St going back to the small, individual, specialist retailers.

This. Jessops and HMV gone from my local high street but we still have independent camera and music shops. I think / hope smaller individual outlets meeting actual customer needs and being able to adapt quickly will be the way forward.

You can get guards SKS Bluemels that are 65mm wide from bike discount in germany for £25 shipped.

I think the frame can take 2.3s without guards, mine is built with 700x42s with guards and there is plenty space to spare. I can fit 2.1s under the guards but clearance would be an issue. I built it up to do a mix of road and off road work and used on one midge bars. I found it sluggish on the road and sluggish off it. I’ll be stripping all the bits and putting them on a Vaya instead which will handle the off road it needs to do just fine and can take the 700×42 cx tyres for some slippy slidey off road.

mcmoonter – we should be on for this weekend as I missed the frame delivery yesterday but it is out for delivery again today. I’ll be in touch.

Bear, thats shite. We are all electric and use the liquid filled radiators with timers and thermostats. We run a two bed flat with two adults for all water heating, showers, heating etc basically all our energy for £50 a month. The old storage brick ones were crap though. Plus we could add pv panels and generate our own unlike gas.

Cats sh*tting in their own garden? Very much to be encouraged IMO
If you stop them going in your garden, aren’t you just shifting the problem to one of your neighbours?
If you dislike your neighbours that much why don’t you just scoop it up a chuck it over the fence?

Can you tell I’m not a cat owner, but my neighbour is?

This, oh and get a lurcher 😉

Well I reported one that had sat for weeks at the end of our cul de sac. It was parked about 3 feet short of the give way t junction at the end on the left hand side (illegal in itself?) meaning that to get out you had to drive on the wrong side of the road. I don’t know what happened but it had been moved / removed within 2 days and was not sorn’d. It was a hazard.
