Colour is ace for an adventure bike. I don’t want something that stands out 🙂

I like him but he does seem to have some ‘feature’ camera angles and shots. I used to love watching Two Men in a Trench years with him and Tony Pollard? They did a Bannockbrun special the other night on BBC Scotland.

You cam message him on twitter about the hairbands 🙂 @NEIL_OLIVER

When we had the misfortune of living in Walsall our cat used to bring us fish… God only knows where he was getting them from….

Probably from my pond! (OK not your cat as I’m miles away) One regularly tries to catch the fish in our pond.

I had a Pugsley Ops and sold it pretty quickly. It either felt sluggish or like riding a bouncy castle, I never ever got the tyres to a pressure I was happy with. It just wasn’t for me at all. I then built up a second Krampus (having regretted selling the first one) and totally love it.

Well at least they are out there giving it a go. Some of you should go and read Man in the Arena by Theodore Roosevelt.

I’m 5’11” and have a medium with Jones loops bars, it was running a 70mm stem but have just put a longer one on as the loops bar come back a bit further. I had one before and sold it, regretted it and so built up another. Knards are better than you think as well although more tyre choice would be good.

I have them on my Krampus and CX bike. I see no reason to change. Way less faff than hydraulic and faultless in use.

You say that like it’s a bad thing?

It is if you’re planning to procreate……

This. It apparently also reduces the number and quality of yer soldiers…..

“Harrogate is run for the benefit of the residents….”

I don’t suppose any hotels, cafes, shops etc will see any benefit, will they? 😕

Thanks all. It is never a good thing to hear but when it happens to someone you know it is a bit of a shock. He was a very keen and experienced cyclist and in time it will be good to know what excatly happened but I will not to pre-judge things.

I haven’t been for a few years so might enter. An interesting marketing strategy as I bet loads of people will sign up for a tenner then drop out but as no refunds are given……

Speaking as a long time hound and lurcher owner I’m finding some of the comments hear about not letting them off the lead quite sad. Yes you have to be very careful, selective and fully aware of their hunt and prey wiring but they are very trainable dogs.

retrogirl – enjoy the hound, they are fantastic dogs, just give it plenty time to settle.

Coastkid – just emailed you about the Krampug. I had a Krampus but didn’t get on with it. I also have a Pugsley Ops (2014) and am thinking of building up a set of Krampus wheels to save me from buying an ECR! Thoughts?

Having been too late to get any of the 2013 bikes I took delivery last week of a 2014 Surly Ops, the army green one. I haven’t smiled so much on a bike in ages.

Thanks but is that really correct?
    11-22 would be a 100% increase
    11-33 would be a 200% increase
    3/11 = 27% so 227%?

Hoping I can get out on the bike a lot this weekend, that always does wonders in the short term for me.

I now find it quite depressing. Running is now my release.

Gave me a business card with a web address on it and told me to have a look at it and come back in 6 weeks. He did mention some other options when I pushed him but is not prepared to do anything yet. If I feel worse in the interim, feel free to come back. I was worried that I wouldn’t articulate it well so had typed and printed out a sheet with my issues. This has been filed.

Well was at the GP this morning and I’m not sure what I was expecting but that wasn’t it. Don’t feel any further forward. In fact I feel more on my own than when I went in. I actually find riding my bike depressing these days, it used to be my escape….

Was there last year and wishing I was going this year 🙁 I agree that Michael Dunlop looks a good bet this year. Would be great to see Guy win one but I don’t think he will.

Cycling to work one morning a cyclist in front of me decided to cycle off the pavement onto the road. I was on the road about 20m behind him. He was looking over his shoulder as he did it – he then fell off in a bit of a heap on the road. I stopped to ask if he was ok and positioned myself to shield him a bit from the traffic. His reply was for me to ‘F*ck right off’. Charming. Kind of put me off assisting others. I guess he was embarassed but even so.
