I agree with PP about Bike mag.
After beginning to lose interest in stw in general Mark was one of the key reasons I cancelled my sub.

I have a cx bike and 2 sets of wheels, works a treat, also fitted tektro mini v brakes so that I can stop when I want to!

In media terms he'll be scottish if he goes out early and british if he does well  whereas the english football team will always be english.

No tale of woe here either, got a new job that is more secure than the last one, we have a pay freeze for the coming year but are getting extra holidays in lieu. I also do some cycle repair work and that is getting busier. Alos managed to buy some property to rent fairly cheap as well so doing pretty good all in.

Don't mean to rub anyones nose in it, just telling it like it is.

On your scale probably 2 but I have had times in my life nearer a 9.5.

Just kit up properly and get out anyway, some of my best riding has been in 'sh*t' weather. Even the peeing down commute this morning was fun.

I agree, but up here they call themselves scottish gas, excatly the same scenario, the cheapest one being £135 odd, when it was finally resolved 3 months after leaving them the final bill was £24, slight difference. Gave them the reading about 8 times and ending up writing to the chief executive and sending him a bill for my time, wasn't paid but it made the point.

Our one told us to replace the boiler with a better one that used more gas per annum and therfore cost £32 more to run, on top of the installation cost.

I've been to Berlin (in Feb) and liked it. Great mix of architecture (obviously), good food and beer and friendly people, also pretty cycle friendly. That said, I was only there for 4 full days, I think 5 would have been 1 too many for me.

Very hard hitting. Unfortunately not just drink drivers that we need to worry about, the number of people I still see using mobile phones and texting whilst driving is scary.
