If you don’t ‘get it’ for don’t want to pay £9 for it then it’s probably not the mag for you. For those of us that do and want to, it is. Simples. Live and let live and all that. Also, it’s only a magazine.

use it in winter, no side effects, might need to use it all year round though judging by recent moods 🙂

    And that’s a bad thing?

    Oh yes!

I subscribed from issue one and think they have got better each time. To me it’s better value than £4.25 for stw. As has been said the new print smell is ace, even my wife likes it. 6 issues a year.

One thing that bothers me about them is the massive powerline being built from beauly to denny to carry all the renewable energy in from offshore and west coast installation. Massive ugly pylons, but if keeps my house from disappearing in to the sea….. If you are a land owner and install one you are laughing (financially).

They should be better, they’re not. 57 plates and younger in the local MB dealer for warranty rust work. Friend had 2 in the fleet and punted them after rust work was done under warranty, one was a 58 plate! Vws all the way for him.

Sweaty back isn’t an issue as I have a quick shower at work anyway. Panniers are on a different bike and the bag would be useful as it could be used on a number of them. Cheers.

you dont HAVE to do it in 4th / 6th gear but it makes it ALOT easier when you put the wheel back in…..

    er, no it doesn’t. +1 Andy R

I really like mine, have it on the HT which is mainly used in the winter, so geared singlespeed. Rear wheel removel is not hard once you have done it a few times and the stuff about needing to be in 4th gear to do this is b*ll*cks, you can do it in any gear but first is easier as you have the least tension in the system. Seriously looking at a pompetamine for the commute. Horses for courses though.

If you can afford the wheels then I would go with 700c. besides that bikes looks superb with them and when all know the commute is about looks 😆

Agree with the OP, although I have been guilty of just putting the link in myself when readvertising.

On another note, does no-one look at the WTD section anymore? I think it was better when FS and WTD were together, but that’s a whole other can of worms to open.

There could be a lot of tall well built people, unlikely but you never know.

excellent idea means riders of different technical abilities can still ride together.

I do like the look of the pompetamine versa, anyone got one? £200 less than the day one as well. Looks very good value.

U-turns 85-135 but they never go below 115, usually up around 130.

Bachs rescue remedy drops in his water and mentally tire him out as well as physically. Leave him kongs full of difficult to get treats, even leave classic fm on very low in the background, worked wonders with our two when they were younger, even works in the car on longer journeys.

I’ve stopped using crc as a result of their packaging. The last one was a stupidly big box for a tube of electrolyte tables. The boxes don’t fit through the letter box so I either have to get them redelivered on a Sat and hope that I’m in for them, or pay £1.50 to get it left at the post office, I could collect from the sorting office but that is a 30+ mile round trip and I can’t get them delivered to work. So no more CRC. I wrote to them to that effect and they said use an different delivery address. Cheers for that.

Just by way of balance I am now on my fourth citroen and so far have had no issues with them at except service parts you would expect. Two of them were run to 100k+ miles without issues. I’m now hoping the fourth one doesn’t bite me on the behind! Have had more issues with Fords to be honest.

There is some stuff around Kinnoull, Deuchny, bits round Craigie Hill etc but Dunkeld and its delights will be around 15 miles away.

No, but having walked it last year and mtb’d in arran as well I can’t say it would be my first choice but each to their own.

Scottish bivvier here, I use bivvy and a tarp but for longer trips would take the tent.
