He was there for you when you needed him, He needs you now, he’s got nothing left to give. It is the last gift you can give him, an end to the pain. He’ll thank you for it. And you’ll feel better for helping him. Thanks him for the good times.
I feel your pain – it’s not about you right now it’s all about him AND you.

This sums it up perfectly for me.

I’m finding this more and more with the Beeb if you actually boil things down to what is content versus padding or conjecture

This sums up so much news and sport coverage, full of so much talk of what might happen rather than what actually has happended. Not just the BBC though, other channels are also masters at it.

This also sums up why I am watching less and less TV, it is a time thief for little benefit.

Loving the bivvys that involve canoes and kayaks. That is my next aim, get one of those sevylor ones (no room to store a rigid) one, brush up on the scottish inland access laws for water and off I go 🙂

What have they (DMBIS) actually delivered?

Route cards and a website and err, em, hang on it’ll come to me in a minute….

On the other hand it does ask what we want to see as mtbers, if we don’t engage do we lose the right to moan afterwards?

I remembered what it was – a picture of the back of my head on the website when I did the level 2 mtb coaching course 🙂

Been loads of times but not for 3 years. We are planning to go this year but will as usual either take the motorbikes or bicycles. If I leave the van at the Tay Road bridge car park it takes less than 30 mins to cycle to leuchars on quiet cycle paths through tentsmuir.

The OP isn’t the target market, maybe when they are a

pensioner who smell of wee and sanatogen

    they will love it.

Bet it is cheap enough to run on a state pension 😉

Cheers toons, that is where I read about the issue. If I got for a Salsa I’ll see if the dishing is something the supplying lbs would do for me. Thanks.

Cheers Flashy. The on-one is going to be 1×9 isn’t it? which is a shame as a 2 or 3×9 would be better for me and its planned use. I’m in scotland so CBM a bit far away 🙁

There are online couriers that do this day in day out for £99 to anywhere in the UK, Skinners Aprilia dealers in Dundee use them so maybe phone them and ask, Sev is the salesman.

Not really no 🙂 Will be used by a variety of people (office camera) to take pictures of workshops and talks inside, so needs to be a point and shoot job with a decent zoom. Pics will mostly be used for the web. Sorry can be more specific. Was thinking Canon Sureshot?

I wasn’t expecting that result, I was kind of thinking he would recover and complete the ride.

Thoughts to all concerned and sorry to hear of such a loss.

Avon Skin So Soft didn’t really work for me, but Smidge does. The only things I would say about Smidge is that it is only effective where it is applied i.e. it doesn’t seem to give off an odour that repels them. By way of example my forearms and legs were bite free after applying it but I didn’t take my watch off when applying and so missed some small area around there and it was bitten to bits.

Interesting to see that Obree agrees with the view that cycling can be a form of escape, a bit like that connection that you’d made in your blog with endurance events being a less extreme form of self-harm.

I find that viewpoint very interesting as I always loved the start of the cycle as if felt as though I was escaping the problems, half way round though I got the horrible feeling that I was just getting closer to them again. I must admit it made me want to just keep cycling away at times.

stooo – good luck with the cycle and fair play to you for doing it. I think i have been following you on twitter and will make a donation shortly.

I ran an alfine 8 with 26/36 chain rings up front on a prince albert frame, never had chain suck or any hub issues in around 2500 miles before I sold the whole lot.

I owned one for 4 years, sold it in March, great engine (altho’ detuned from the TL) dependable handling and great fun, a good way to keep a licence as well being unfaired, but, at 5’10” I found the leg position cramped and the seat was the most uncomfortable I have sat on ever on a motorbike. 60 mins and I was in agony. Limited seat replacement choice as well. The seat is really low as well which add to the cramped feel. The RSV1000R that replaced it is way comfier!

    any excuse!

I had the exact same issue, tried both options and have ended up with a rigid 29er with skinny tyres, works for me, despite my previous 3 attempts with 29ers not working, so far, very good 😆 .

As a Lurcher owner my dog is kept securely in the garden, but has been known to chase after cats that roam into the garden. It’s even had a couple of cats in its mouth but lost a clump of head hair and had a bleeding nose to show for it.

If my dog got out of the garden and hurt a neighbours cat i would pick up any vets bills and make sure it didn’t happen again. Any cat coming into the garden when the dog is out is fair game. Darwins law.

This. Writing as an owner of 2 lurchers. In my garden the cats take their chances…..

Depending which insurer it is they aren’t bothered at all if it produces a certain % or less power increase (usually 10 or 15%) above that then premiums can go up. In reality hardly any exhaust will give this increase.

MOT – exhaust noise pass / fail is at testers discretion.

I was gutted for Gino Rea in Moto2 but loved his reaction when in the gravel, strop of the season so far, especially the w***er signal, class 😀

Ben Spies has got the bullet from my MCN Fantasy team, pretty poor display this season especially when you see how well Lorenzo and Tech3 are doing.
