I’ve given up trying to book the TT, am currently looking at the Southern 100. Maybe see if you can get those dates and switch the ferry booking?

Pine martens are awesums never seen one in the wild though. Would of thought they would eat reds and greys. Can’t imagine they would be overly fussy with their prey, they will pretty much go for the throat of any small mammal.

True but the PM can follow Greys on to the same sort of branches due to similar weights but they can’t follow the reds so easily as they are much much lighter thus harder to catch.

Just about to do this. Bought a repottable tree this year. It only really works if you have an intact root ball to start with. If you are going to dig it up again then best keep it in the pot so the whole root balls comes out with it again next year. Smaller roots can work their way out the bottom of the pot via the holes. If you plant it without the pot then you will need to dig a big hole to get it out next year if you want it to survive and be replanted. Alternatively just decorate it in the garden :)

7th Son or Somewhere in Time, new album Book of Souls easily gets 8 out of 10. Best live album for me is Live After Death.

42t chainring because they haven’t designed the chainstays for anything smaller?

In the reviews one of the owners says he changed to a smaller chain ring.

When I was at school in the 80s they were always talked about in the same breath as U2, funny how things turn out.

Yes, people have finally realised how bad U2 are :)

We ditched the storage heaters and THTC about 7 years ago. Went to economy 10, electric radiators with 24 hours timers and individual thermostats. Installed an unvented hot water cylinder with a time clock to take advantage of economy 10. We ran a two bedroom house mostly on the 10 hour cheap rate covering all electricity (heating, shower, hot water, lights, washing machine etc) for £50 per month.

@mrmoosehead special arrangement with the posties but not the couriers who do it all the time and then leave me a nice card saying where the parcel is. Touch wood no one has put one in the bin when it’s out on the pavement!

    I’m a muppet.
Our bins are our designated safe place and this has worked a treat for 16 years. The bins are located behind our garage and the postie puts them in their and leaves us a card to that effect. If one of the bins is out front on the pavement for empytying they just use one of the two behind the garage. Works brilliantly.

” I ain’t voting for that ****, what a posh tosser in his smart suits and all that, even though I think milliband is an ugly ****”

That may end up being as good a basis as intellectual judgement :D

Postal vote late last week but I’ll wander up this evening to the village hall when my wife casts her vote. Interested to note that one of the candidates for my constituency lives around 350 miles away.

I second boxing them in, then paint them the same colour as the surrounding area.

10 mins to change? Not sure what you bought there. I use mine as every day glasses and for driving except at night, can’t fault them and it sure beats faffing about with two pairs. Yes they have a slight tint all the time but as my eyes have always been sensitive to light this suits me fine.

I have tried them (Salomon) on the bike but they weren’t great. Actually, they weren’t great full stop, soles wore through really quickly.

Quite a lot for sale where I am (Perthshire) and they either go quick or take 6-7 months or more to sell.

“The general manager ended up cooking himself for the three presenters”

That seems both excessive and an amazing feat, I wonder how he tasted?

Also JC is only 54, god he looks rough for it.

Guy Martin, nah, not really his type of show unless they change the format.

Jay Kay, could they afford the repair bills :)

Couldn’t agree more. This is the kind of thing that turns people away from taking an interest in how their country’s run, rather than switching them on, imho…

Over 10m watched the 2010 head to head debate.

The KC are responsible for setting some ridiculous breeding standards that they refuse to change despite the known health problems and the suffering endured by a lot of animals.

This. Plus my experience with some local Crufts breed winners puts me off the whole thing entirely.

As has been said it looks sus corrected. Having owned three 29+ bikes and finding them all a bit unwieldy for serious trail riding, this looks ideal.

    Anything french

Currently on my 5th Citroen and still not had any problems with them except usual wear and tear stuff. VWs have been great as well although the paint and body work has been woeful.

I must be lucky then as I have never felt the need to do this.
