The casing of the tyre is more important than the size, go for double ply sidewalls with 60a compound rear and super tacky front.
It's nice to have a chain device but i wouldn't buy one just for the trip.

If he was flying down an Alp or something i could understand the helmet cam, but he seems to like filming on busy roads whilst looking for some aggro. Hope he wasn't too badly hurt but he deserves a bit of gravel rash for being a complete cock jockey.
Dual ply, super tacky front, harder compound on the back, 2.35 or 2.5 with normal tubes and you will be fine. Would not bother with normal ply and DH tubes.

I think the Meta is a bit fragile, the hire shop in Verbier had them last year and they spent half the season out of service waiting for new bits and pieces.
mrmo, climbed up to croix de cour on savolyres about a week ago, had to push for a couple of mins where the piste crossed the road, the rest was clear, loads of snow on the north facing side though.
Passed through the St Bernard tunnel yesterday and they were out clearing snow off the road to the pass, would guess there is still too much snow though, the last bit doesn't get much sun.
We did quite a bit of testing with creatine when i was at uni, the placebo results were very similar to those who were taking it. I think we came to the conclusion that people performed better because they thought they were taking creatine and so should be. I remember the side effect not being nice. I can't remember much more just now i have a scrambled head from white wine and a french lesson. Lucy
If you can get fish and chips in scholes. they are officially the best ever, served from a tiny little garden shed!
Andy at wheelspin might be worth asking about routes.
Nick Hart, I repair broken skis in the winter and the music is Jigsaw falling into place by Radiohead.
Freeride Nick, the last bit is Nuthouse and a bit of gateway to heaven.
Tracey, could you bring one of those pies with you.
