I would hazzard a guess at around £5. But as your Rune won’t arrive for another year I would get to excited!

My mountain king 2.4 black chili protection tyres have worn out holey sidewalls after 1.5 months of riding. I think Continental tyres have awful sidewalls as my barons did similar. The UST ones do seam to be much better. Shame as they are good up until you get a hole in the side!

Jeremy Clarksons book ‘I know You Got Soul’ has a brilliant chapter all about Concorde. Well worth a wee read.

I have a set off 44 rc3ti 2012’s. On my 2nd set of uppers as the nickle coating started to peel off. Replace hassle free quickly by windwave. The only other problem I have is black staining appearing on the stanchions. It is already starting to apear on my new uppers despite cleaning with a cloth and spraying with fork juice after every ride. Doesn’t seem to affect the fork but just looks crap.

Just slide it on with a bit of grease. Then assemble stem etc as normal on the bike. Then tighten up the top cap this will push the bearing race down into place. I have used this technique loads and it works fine and requires no special tools.

My parents bought a house from a heavey smoker. The house absolutely stank. I mean it was properly disgusting. We removed all carpets scrubbed floors bathroom etc and painted everything. When re-painting the celings it was very obvious how yellow they were from nicotine. Once all this was done there was not a noticable smell of smoke in the house.
Because the house was so smelly they got a bargain that was fixed up very quickly with not too much cost and a bit of elbow greese.

What rims? If Flows put the tyre on with an inner tube first. This gets the bead sat on properly. Then take off one side only and try again. My minion went up no bother tubeless but the der barron is a bit slacker and more of a pain in the arse. Remember to remove the valve core as it helps increase air flow to get the tyre bead sat on properly.

I have this same problem and have concluded its to do with the axle/Qr/dropout. With a standard QR it was creaky, then i swapped it with a 10mm thru QR and it got less bad. I slammed some grease in the swappable end caps (Pro 2 evo) and in frame drop outs, problem solved.
I think its a design flow in the hubs personnaly.
    Friend had the same problem.

At the dudes of hazard enduro it was very wet and gritty. I wore out a brand new set of SS organic pads in less than the days practice. I put sintered ones in for race day and I don’t think I have changed the pads since. Not noticed less braking power since changing either.

Whats wrong with the ribble frames? I know very litte about road bikes, but the reviews I read by various magazines made me buy a Ribble Sportive Bianco kitted with 105 and I think its great.
    It cost around £1200.

Did you watch the video? The evidence is there for you.
    Have you used winter tyres?

thats on snow, i’m well aware winter tyres will be better on snow.

I’m regularly told that in any conditions below 7 degs winter tyres are better.

If you watch the whole video you will see they test on wet roads too.

Good to see that Glupton was speakin pish! I think I will believe that video by Auto Car rather than some internet forum driving god!

Facts winter tyres are better on snow and ice. They are also better in the wet below 7 degrees.

Winter tyres allow you to make your journey faster and safer than if you did not have them

Yes I am being serious in the same way that mud tyres allow you to go faster in the mud than other tyres on your bike.

This thread is stupid. It is a fact that winter tyres are better in the cold/icy/snowy weather.
If you want them or not is a personal choice. I use them and think they are great. Others think the same.
Others who have not used them don’t see the point. But if you haven’t tried them you can’t have an opinion on them.
Winter tyres allow you to make your journey faster and safer than without them. If you don’t want them thats up to you but if you haven’t tried them stop spouting pish about them not being worth it.

The difference is like night and day. My focus was terrible in the snow and is now superb. I drove past a stuck 4×4 presumably on summer tyres while going up a snowy hill. “Skill” would not get you up this.

The cost thing is not true either. There is an innitial outlay. 4 steel wheels £100 then a set of tyres. These tyres cost the same as my summer ones and as only one set of tyres are on the car at once both sets last twice as long. So its only the cost of the wheels that is a factor.

As for time taken to change them? 40 minutes is all it takes.

Like others have said if you try them you will love them if you haven’t you should!
