Yes it will. The outer rim moves independantly to the inner rim. Sit on the bike and the outer rim moves closer to the inner at the bottom and further away at the top. The inner rim does not move in relation to the frame. The outer one does. Ther fore the brakes need to be on the inner rim.
Or at least that is what is supposed to do, in reality it would just be rubbish!
I just bought a Shimano Gore Tex Jacket and it is fantastic. Fits well and the face fabric seems very good, it hasn’t wetted out at all and feels hard wearing. No pit zips though and no coat hook.
Spooky woods is crap. 1st 100m is good. The rest is too flat with too many switchbacks. Would be improved greatly if they had made it run down the hill as opposed to running back and forth across it.
Roverpig – yes the March burn is that trail. I imagine it will be a river just now!
Trail Rat – Shuv and Campbell did a magic job on MDK its totally clear. Crack Cleaner didn’t get blocked as far as I know. We rode the new bit of the lower half so didn’t check out the bottom.
Rim Pinger had loads of trees down a few weeks ago.
The forestry have been at work on Scolty but the most eastern trails were fine last week.
They should put the large spaces at the far end of the car park so that fatties in their range rovers have to walk further. Fine them if they park in the compact ones!
I would be lost with out mine. Before having one I used to stop alot to put the seat up and down. They are brilliant for undulating trails where you want it low for the steep stuff, middle for the flatter tech bits and up for the climbs.
If your trails tend to be a pedal up to then thrash down they are not essential but once you get used to one you will not go back.
My gravity dropper 27.2 with 100mm is not enough travel though.
I just bought one of these and for the money you can’t go wrong.
Close fitting with decent length sleeves.
No pit zips though. The material feels hard wearing but as I have only just got it I can’t really comment
I just ordered one of these http://www.orbea.com/gb-en/bicycles/rallon-x30/ Upgraded the shock and forks to the BOS ones and still have enough change to buy a dropper post. The reviews of this bike have been excellent to say the least. Also worthy of note is the lifetime warranty on the frame.
I have not done it and never will. It would be a very boring push up to the summit, then the down would be pretty much like riding down steps in a busy shopping centre with big drainage channels to get in your way.
Basically it would be rubbish
The deore’s are a very different brake from the SLX and higher models as they don’t feature the cam technology (Servowave?) and a friend had a devil of a job getting his deores to not rub on his discs, and you can’t use floating/icetech rotors without some judicious filing because of the calliper design.
WRONG!!
They have less machining making them cheaper and heavier. I think the pistons are not ceramic too. Power is the same and they are just as easy to set up.
